Grocery Shopping Assistant

This is an android app where users can create and manage multiple shopping lists, and also compare prices across 3 supermarkets: Tesco, ASDA and Sainsbury’s.

Opening the project

Android Studio is needed to open the project.

Using the app

The app can be run on a Virtual Device provided by the Android emulator in Android Studio.

Alternatively, an Android Package (APK) file can be created using Android Studio by navigating to the menubar and selecting: Build > Build Bundle(s) / APK (s) > Build APK (s).

The APK file will be saved on the selected location on the PC, which can be transferred to an android phone.

Dependencies

Dependencies are managed using gradle. Following dependencies are required:

implementation 'com.android.volley:volley:1.2.0'
implementation 'org.jsoup:jsoup:1.14.2'
