What was initially planned to be released as Roop 2.0.0 will now be launched under the new name FaceFusion 1.0.0.

The external resources for Roop, such as documentation and hosted models, will be removed by the end of the month. I try to preserve Roop 1.x.x to the best of my ability.

The original author s0md3v has expressed a clear disinterest in continuing collaboration with the main developer, as evidenced by their statement:

I clearly do not have time or interest to contribute to or oversee the development of this project, so I am going to archive it to prevent such things from happening in the future. You can maintain your own fork and do whatever you want. I'm grateful for your help all this time but being wrongly accused of something I haven't done in mainstream tech media is where I draw the line.

Their intention was not to seek information or clarification, but rather to paint us as collaborators in the controversial field of deepfake pornography. This unexpected and unwelcome attention seems to have been the final factor that pushed s0md3v to his decision point.
