lwmenu's Issues

Support portabilizing all softwares by adding a backup and restore infrastructure

The program already has basic support for preparing dummy registry and folders before launching a filename, how about making it a full support?
That is, only launching a filename after fully restoring its registry, folders and files, then backing them up once the filename finishes running.

Note this basically means allowing to portabilize every software out there in the world and not just floatwares.
This also means going head to head with the likes of PortableApps (which setup is not meant end users) and yaP (which is outdated).

It was requested at Portable Freeware.

Feature proposal

Hi, use your program in POS terminal (start in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell)

It is work nice but have some feature proposal:

  1. Config don't find If path in Shell (in registry) look to you program. I don't know, maybe lwmenu find that not there .exe located (in Shell I run bat with cd "c:\lwmenu" and then exec lwmenu.exe)

  2. On start lwmenu - I need to start one program (example in [button1]) automatically, but haven't options for it.

  3. POS computer have low performance of hardware and my work programs loading slow time. It would be nice if there was a possibility set a timeout to disable button active (users don't wan't to wait and clicking the button many times)

  4. It would be nice if main preference will be possible to set centered position of windows and disallow close main window

Everything else is cool ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Select next button

In my somewhat similar but much lighter (much less customisable) implementation:
https://github.com/cricri-pingouin/SliRunDelete

I also have an option to automatically select the next button when clicking a button. Granted my app was designed for the actions to be executaed in order, whereas Lwmenu is much broader, so maybe an option to select any button? E.g. click any button and the close button becomes selected as default for next action.

Possible to use without a menu?

Is it possible to use this to launch a program without using the menu system, kind of like YaP?

I guess the point here is that YaP seems to be discontinued now and hasn't been updated for 4 years or so, so it would be cool to use this as an alternative to YaP without the menu system.
