Cannot import these macros into the Autoconf Archive

I tried to import the latest version of the macros into the Autoconf Archive, but I've run into a few issues:

  1. The formatting of the comments doesn't match the standard format used in the archive.
  2. The #serial number doesn't match the scheme used in the archive either: the macros we distribute are supposed to have a serial number that matches the number of commits that macro has in our repository. As such, it's not really easy to get the #serial numbers of those two repositories to match.
  3. I'm a little reluctant adding macros to the Autoconf Archive that refer users to a different site for their souce code and updates. Macros that have their own release procedure and home page probably shouldn't be included, since they have their distribution channel anyway and the duplication won't help users, IMHO.

From my point of view, it looks like it would be best to drop the macros from the GNU archive to avoid distributing multiple versions of the same code, because this is bound to lead to confusion for our users.

What do you think about that?
