What are the best local papers and digital outlets to be reading to stay up to speed on what's going on in NY District 3?

Costa will need to know who is who in Washington, beyond the names that hit the news all the time. How can we get him familiar with the characters in our capital?

Who are the community leaders, educators, activists, and local influencers we should try to be in touch with and how should we engage?

Need to add a space between two Social Media Bubbles on Mobile

How can we stay on top of what's going on in Washington each day?

We're going to want to ask friends and community members to host dinner parties and invite their friends and neighbors. This will hopefully be a really great way to listen to people's perspectives on issues, meet more people in person, and raise small donations.

How do we get educated on Foreign Affairs and Foreign Policy?

We're almost only white guys on the campaign team. Nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about, it's just a fact, and some diversity would be valuable and fun! So, let's take this on, beyond just something to check the box on. This is an opportunity to make a real difference for someone.

Let's reach out to CUNY or other groups (maybe local ones) that might help us find someone who's in a minority group and would love the chance to be part of a congressional campaign. Then let's find them a coach, someone with substantial expertise in whatever area is needed. We could fill a social media manager role this way, or a research role, or any role really.

I'd be happy to write up a blog post for a role or two like this asking for a mentee and mentor pair. The thought is to be proactive, and radical in our approach to embracing diversity. Diversity is something that has real value, and is a real challenge to solve. Let's take it on : )

Hey guys,

I've heard this a couple times now but it seems it's not explicitly clear from the site that Costa is running for Congress.

I've heard a few "If you didn't tell me, I'm not sure I would've known." or "I thought this might be a consultant thing" Something like this.

I think the easy solve would be to under the logo put "Candidate for US Congress - NY D3"

Maybe there's a place for a map of district three?

Thoughts?

We'll need to add the terms and conditions content to the site. Let's discuss what that content is and where to put it!

Found a pretty ideal app for managing our communications: http://telegram.org

Pros:

1. Video messages. This is great for putting a face to a name.
2. Audio messages, gifs, et cetera. Everything people are used to in a messaging app.
3. It's one place for communication with volunteers and supporters. This keeps things simple.
4. It's separate from email and Facebook so we don't get buried under a pile of other emails or notifications.
5. It has push notifications so we stay top of mind.
6. It has a mute button in case people want some peace from the politics.
7. Public groups so it's totally transparent! Anyone can join here: http://t.me/costa2018
8. You can pin important messages for that day or that week.

Cons:

1. Groups support up to 20,000 members, which is up from 10k, and 5k before then. We can always add a second group when and if, or upgrade to a channel which is unlimited, but broadcast only.

It would be useful to have some SEO and open social graph stuff on our site. I'm pasting what I've used in the past. It needs quite a bit of adjustment. @SonicKim can we go through this and make adjustments together. I'll explain what each of these fields does.

When we open the google sheets, we see a name and time stamp but no response... Can you look into this?
