An extraordinary new feature!
A new disaster! (see also #4)
There are not acceptable!
Go to about:config
, search menu
, update the following values, and restart Firefox.
widget.gtk.native-context-menus
=> true
widget.gtk.non-native-menu-styling
=> false
Sadly this does not work with Thunderbird > 91.
Extra: if you want to hide the open menu button from toolbar:
add #PanelUI-button { display:none!important; }
in your {firefoxProfile}/chrome/userChrome.css
Love this theme, thanks for making it.
On the default brown theme, the text color inside the progress bar is black, which is not very legible against the brown progress bar. See screenshot.
Double edged sword though, because the portion of the progress bar that is not filled does need to be black or dark for legibility.
Is it possible for the text color to differ based on whether the progress bar is filled or unfilled?
Hello
I'm using the theme with Debian and Mate desktop (love it so far).
I just realized that the volume indicator (when using the Fn keys) is not displaying as it should (same with for example brightness indicator).
How it should be (screenshot with Menta theme):
Not very critical but I thought I open an issue.
Keep up the good work!
Hey I love this theme, and it's super awesome you have been maintaining it. I've been using it on MATE and it's been working great. However, I notice in your instructions in the readme you say to turn off the mate compositor, and I see why. I do notice a few minor problems with it on, however turning it off just isn't really an option for me. With it off there's too much screen tearing mostly in programs like Firefox. So I am wondering if you are planning on ever patching the theme to work fully with compositors.
The only issues I notice with the compositor on are:
And again these problems aren't here with the compositor off, but like I said turning it off just causes more problems than that for me with other programs unrelated to the theme.
Applying this theme makes the Ubuntu MATE Welcome and Software Boutique applications unusable. It causes the background color to change to black so you can't see any of the options. This renders these applications unusable as a result. I have attached screenshots of what these applications look like with the default Ubuntu MATE theme and what it looks like with this human theme. This is on Ubuntu MATE 20.04.4 LTS with MATE 1.24.0.

The windows that pop up when you apply an effect in Audacity seem to have the wrong background color. (it's the same color in all the theme variants).
It mostly looks like that when you add an effect, but it also affects the "generate" tools, and some other misc ones so i'm not sure how easy that is to figure out. Not a deal breaker but you know.
Here's how it's supposed to look i'm guessing (from 'Effects > Add/Remove Plug-Ins...')
love the theme.

GNOME styled apps have their own GTK3 setup that doesn't respect Cinnamon's default theme. We all know this, but there's another error I noticed. Certain apps; so far only dconf Editor , have white text on a beige background that makes it hard to read. This happens even if the Window is above all others. I really like old school themes, so I hope this bug is fixed.
Is there a script to generate custom versions of this Human Theme based on a specific color hex?
For example, I'd like to create themes based on the Ubuntu accent color options:

Thank you.
Is this supposed to work under Cinnamon Desktop? I installed the human-theme-gtk package for Fedora 38,, and even tried the manual installation steps. Logged out of my session & logged back in, no change; still have the grey and featureless TitleBars, and there isn't anything listed in the Desktop or Applications theme settings either.
On Debian Testing, Pango 1.44+ breaks window title bar styles, text letter/word spacing and text line-height.
(previous version 1.42 available with deb https://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20200409T203114Z/ testing main

Hey there!
I'm running Xubuntu 20.04 and am not able to get the theme to apply to any windows after installing via PPA. The themes simply don't show up in the Window Manager, and I even tried some of the manual installation methods as well to no avail. This probably isn't an issue on part of the theme, I just don't know what I could be missing and would appreciate any guidance.
Thank you so much! :+}
