What I need is a resize function, for example after croping. My goal - to 
create a thumbnail of a fixed size, with what you have now I cannot do it and 
would need to use an external editor. Firefox 14.01, Windows 7. Also, you 
cannot capture a part of flash object, that's the second problem I see.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Standard JS call FireShotAPI.savePage(true); on any page

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Would like a silent call to the API and no dialogue boxes and the option to
provide a default location and filename for each picture taken on the
"savePage" JS call. (especially dislike the get Fireshot for IE when I
already have it on my test machine.

This is a improvement request to enhance use of the product... particularly
for automated testing.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch the Fireshot application (by pressing the PrtScr or clicking
within the Browser, Firefox).

2. Select an area within the application. Like you copy another snapshot
area and paste it in the application.

3. Drag the selected area to the edge of the Fireshot application screen
window .... The Application hangs (with the appearance of the Glass hour)

4. You have to manually kill the application in the tasks window.

5. This issue is not intermittent and happens quite too often.

This has not worked for me on any other computer I tried it on either - 
including other Windows versions and older Firefox Versions.  But I need to be 
able to auto capture the browser window and save it without human intervention 
for a project I am working on.
The SAVE button does work on this page:

But is there a way to specify the file name and path instead of having a dialog 
box?

1. take a shot of a video on Dailymotion.com using the FlashVideo technology
2. The flash object is black cause the wmode is transparent / not direct.

Those lines used to save an image image so the script should be able to get the 
file and send it through email.
We are getting instead :

automatically. It will be nice if there is some way to pass the email-to field

I have chrome Mozilla/5.0 installed on my machine, the 1st issue i say in the 
.js file witth isFirefox() function that it check for string 'FireFox', while 
if you using Chrome it gives you 'Mozilla' in the user agent.

I changed Firefox to Mozilla, no i m not getting error(that it's only for 
Firefox on Windows')

But still when i check the installation status of that plugin in my chrome its 
says 'not available , install now' but on clicking on Install now link.

I got an error 'Uncaught ReferenceError: InstallTrigger is not defined'

Could you please look into this and let me know the resolution.

Actually i want to use this Api in my Web application, so that i can give 
button on top of some page to save that page as PDF.

I can capture the entire contents of a particular frame by accessing Fireshot 
in the right-click drop down menu, is there a way to duplicate that behavior 
using the API?  In other words, targeting the contents of a specific frame to 
be captured?

I'm searching for a solution to grab screens with JavaScript and IE. It's no 
problem with the firefox plugin and FireShotDataElement, but how to control the 
ActiveXObject fireshot IE?

Could you add a function to get the base64 content of the capture.

It could be really useful, if we want to attach an image to a form for
reporting bug system.

There should be an option in the Fireshot addon settings to disable the
usage of this API, or restrict it to certain domains.  Some people may not
want to allow just any webpage control over this feature.
