elixre's Introduction

Hi, I'm Louis

This is my repo of odds and ends, such as:

  • archive: Old unfinished projects.
  • cv: My (likely out of date) curriculum vitae.
  • data: Misc bits of data from my life. e.g. books read.
  • docs: My website https://lpil.uk.
  • dotfiles: Configuration files and scripts.
  • git: Rarely used git commands I would otherwise forget.
  • home: Tech for use in the home.
  • scratchpad: Experiments and prototypes.
  • scripts: Wee programs that do useful things for me.
  • sql: Possibly useful SQL snippets I would otherwise forget.
  • ssh: I always forget how to do port forwarding.

elixre's Issues

Styling

  • SCSS compilation grunt task
  • SCSS written
  • Responsive (narrow)
  • Responsive (wide)

Deployed

  • 'build' grunt task created
  • Domain aquired
  • Live

Create POST /regex route

For now have it accept a JSON encoded body which is an array, and then returns the array reversed.

Broke link

Elixir RegEx documentation goes to github Docs instead of Hexdocs package

Integration tests

  • Invalid regex
  • Valid regex with match
  • Valid matching regex starting with a space
  • Valid regex with multiple subjects
  • Valid regex with multi-line subject

Angular front end

  • Accept regex
  • Accept regex flags
  • Accept subject string
  • Optionally disable subject splitting on newline
  • Post to backend
  • Post to backend on keypress
  • Results displayed
  • Match highlighted in result subjects
  • Errors displayed
  • Display the regex in results

Permalinks

One of the most useful features of http://rubular.com/ is the ability to get a permanent link to particular examples for posterity. I generally include a Rubular link as a comment with regular expressions in my Ruby code.

A quick search seems to suggest this feature has not yet been requested of Elixre. I took a shot and failed at adding this feature here. It looks like there is a new version in progress that is currently incomplete. I would be happy to give it another shot with some guidance!

Thanks for the useful tool โค๏ธ
