If possible, please add External And Streaming Links in the anime info page form Anilist.

It would be cool if this app could support Unified Push. That is basically an open protocol for push notifications, making so that apps can get push notifs without google services and without going via google. It is really amazing for privacy, and it would be cool if that could be added!

Anilist notifications only arrive with a pretty big delay (hours), and in bulk. It would be nice to be able to configure how often new notifications get pulled from anilist.

(If notifications actually don't work this way, I'm sorry, I don't know much about mobile development)

The app should be able to open links that it supports.

When is it possible to insert a translation? Specifically of the description or information received from AniList?

In the notification section is it possible to add which item is liked as shown in the screen?

On the discover page, I don't like seeing anime/manga that is already on my list, so I have to reapply the filter everytime I'm browsing. Would be nice to have an option to save all filters.

Not sure if you have any further UX features planned, but I wanted to mention that the statistics page in the app is pretty stale, everything being one color doesn't really help the pie chart differentiate the content (in the case the numbers are quite close).

Anilist does have different colors for different entries so was wondering if the app could get that as well.

Currently the titles that are Hidden in Status lists aren't showing in the Progress tab in app.

For me, I have created custom lists and Hide my anime so that it doesn't show duplicate entry in Anilist default lists. But then it's not shown in app's Progress tab, and it's completely empty all the time.

It'll help if you'll allow Hidden anime to show in Progress tab 😅

I found this problem, if it can be solved quickly .. Notifications of new episode releases/airing and activity do not arrive unless you have the app open or in the background

Hi, I recently installed otraku on my iPhone using AltStore as you suggested and it is so great. I am so excited and happy to use it-It took so long to install because I didn't have a Mac but now I do also on my pc there wasn't a usb 3 cable 😭😢)

So here are the problems-

• Option to see average score in your anime/manga list currently I can only see my personal score
  EXAMPLE- Let's say I rated FMAB a 10 and it's a 9 by the community then it should be at the top or like second

• Option to type messages within the application like the application like in this picture there's no option

This started last week where whenever I load my list or refresh my timeline, it shows this bad state and blocking me from getting any data from loading. I'm not sure if this problem is assessed on apl or Anilist API. If there's any information that is needed let me know.

Currently, the release order list is a chain of Prequels and Sequels. Its hard to find any movie or something in that nested list.

Animixplay Website does this thing better where release order list is same for every season/movie of the series and all the seasons/movies are listed there.

Current Situation:

Need to go through all those linked prequels and Sequels to find a particular season/movie in the series.

Desirable Situation:

List is same of every season in the series which provides full details of the release order at one place.

Starting this morning, for some reason this is happening: if I try to type in the search field, this message appears (see below).
AniList domain is reachable and the site is working correctly with other apps (like Tachiyomi tracking). I tried to log out but I now can't login anymore 'cause the same message appears when I try 😔

It couldnt update, so I clicked on the app and its completely gone from the Play store...

Otraku have a nice feature to notify you when an episode for an anime you're watching is aired. But if you're watching anime in simulcast on a streaming service then episodes are usually available only 2 hours later.
It would be nice to be able to set a delay for episode aired to get notified only when episodes are really available.

I noticed some fields are missing from the list editor. In particular the "priority" field. Maybe an option to add/remove fields?

With the new Update the current tab, it's not showing anything on my lists as of now. I need to expand to go to Lists.

Edit : (Not sure why I can't attach a Screenshot on GitHub mobile 😂). But I don't have any default lists given by Anilist, all my Lists are custom. Probably that's the issue.

Right now dev builds of Otraku replaces the release build instead of creating a new app with a prefix.

When I am on the anime / manga screen and I click the "+" to increase the progress cause lag and the operation is very slow

This app is awesome. I have some suggestions for it.

1. Please support 120 Hz for app, it's feels laggy, the screen drops to 60 Hz while using it.
2. If possible please make a widget like this for the app which will show reading manga and watching shows.

Nonetheless, I love this app's design. This has been my go to anilist client for very long.

When I add some anime episodes and add them as completed It selects all episodes of that anime for example if I marked 5 episodes of an anime of 12 episodes all of them will be chosen but that doesn't happen in the site.

Hello there, i was just browsing the F-Droid repositories today and i noticed this app. I have been using the Play version for around a year now, so i went ahead and uninstalled it, but when i tried to download the F-Droid version i was warned with "This app is incompatible with your device" and when i tried to proceed, it failed just after the package installer due to "Unknown Reason". I'm using Android 13 and i noticed that the Play Store version is 1.2.4 also. What could be the reason for this issue?

Hey, first of all thank you for this great app. It seems like that the F-Droid (IzzyOnDroid) repo only has the x86_64 build, therefore it doesnt work on many devices. Is this a mistake, or any other reason? Would be great to have arm64 build on there as well :)

First thanks for the app. Its really awesome. The only down site is that notifications of new episode releases/airing are not working.

On Android:
When i first installed the app the notifications worked for like 2 or 3 days but after that i never received any notifications at all. When i check the feed i do see that there are new airing notifications avaiable. Im using Android 9

On IOS:
i installed it through altstore and i never received notifications from this app at all
Im using IOS 14.8

If u could look into it i'd appreciate it.

Sorry for asking this again when some already has asked but will there ever be an ios version. I just switched to an iPhone and using myanilist which never gets updates and has no options, So please make an ios version. There is only 2 apps on app store which are anilist clients, So please!

as I'm someone who reads a lot, I would like to be able to see only others in my (personal) Feed, so I can focus on what my follows are doing, otherwise it gets really spammy.

As of now the notification page doesn't have any read notifications button.
We have to pull down and refresh to dismiss the notifications.

• Now if a button is added at the top right corner, we can press that butter to dismiss the notifications instead of refreshing.

I'll love the ability to change the list view for manga and anime to grid. Make it look just like it does on the progress tab but maybe with score visible as well. Thanks

In the explorer tab you can already filter for a specific season and also the year you want to filter for. My issue is that it is still quite a hassle to see what is releasing in the current or coming seasons. The start year range thingy is a bit unhandy to use, when you only want a specific year.
As far as I use it, when looking for something in regards to seasons, I want to see the current one, the coming ones and maybe the last few ones.
An idea would be something like a season view where you can jump through the seasons relative to the current one.

Btw. I really appreciate the new design, especially that in discovery we now can see what the status of the entries are in regards to us, like planning, completet etc. Thank you!

• Notifications (Iphone)- For some reason I don't get any notifications for otraku (Have never gotten any) I wonder if it's a bug or something) There is one more bug that is The notifications are not always shown a number. Let's say I got 8 notifications it wont show me anything (in the app)

• Links of anime in messages show it as links and redirects to anilist. Can it be made so it is within the app?

• Fault query not found (I think it’s fixed v1.1.8+3 )

Not sure if I'm missing it but is there a way to save tag preferences when searching? Would be very helpful if there isn't so you wouldn't have to keep putting in multiple tags over again.

First of all, just found this app today and its awesome, good job :D

Features requests / Ideas:

• 1. Able to change tabs by swiping left and right (also while viewing an entry to switch to relations [in relations first go through media, characters and staff before switching to social tab if thats possible])
• 2. season filter in explore + popular this season/ trending now / alltime (basically the browse tab from anilist) -> As Dropdown? seen in DC as planned
• 3. Option to hide the manga tab in bottom selector for only anime watchers (or anime tab for only manga ppl) -> as option in settings
• 4. Adding an entry (new anime) to list set by default to plan instead of watching (option as well in menu?)
• 5. In anime entries add streaming pages at the bottom to quickly see if u can theoretically watch that show
• 6. Improve the statistics tab (add more categories filter like on anilist: genre, time per tag/genre etc) seen in DC as planned

Maybe something of this is already in consideration, would be nice to see some of these in the app

Could you please add option for separate default sorting orders for anime and manga lists?

Also currently there are currently only four out of seven available default sorting options without ability to choose whether it will be descending or ascending order. If possible could you at least add "Airing at" to defaults, as that option is basically the best one at the start of the season.

The images are loading everytime I open the app. Is it possible to add them as stored data like other apps do?

Please consider adding history feature to search tab and image cache to save data.

after the recent update, i cant login. i logged in through the anilist website and it dosent redirect me anywhere, going back to the app its just a loading screen

Is it possible to add widget to app?

You can right-click the cover of an anime or manga on Anilist's website and select "Save as..." to download the cover; I'm not sure if implementing it would be possible, but it would be useful for sharing the image using only a mobile phone. This could also be applied to Characters, Staff, or even User Profiles, as we can only screenshot it or go directly to Anilist's Website to download the image.
