Hi I forked and downloaded the games in order to test the Ltex25 rulesets.
Am running the latest freeciv 2.5 beta2
The error on loading the ruleset is

Error loading the veteran system: "data/LTeX25/units.ruleset": Different lengths for the veteran settings in section 'unit_warriors'

I want to fix this and create a pull request in order to test the github system

As pointed out by @panch93, this could be written more efficiently by iterating over players and over units:

for player in players_iterate() do
  for unit in player:units_iterate() do

I just checked out http://longturn.org/ and http://forum.longturn.org/. Very nice modification of Freeciv. However, I wondered if there are any best practises on how to build, configure, and set up a server - especially for a Longturn game.

Make sure that stealing techs and getting them from conquest work as expected. stee on Discord:

In warciv you always get tech when you capture a city plus diplo tech-steal against a new city is nearly always successful.
I captured some cities but instead of getting tech my message screen went blank.
And with 2 diplo tech-steals one or both should have been successful.

Triremes that sink because they wander too far from the coast are announced to everyone. Should only be the owner.
