lodestone_cli's Introduction

Lodestone CLI

Lodestone CLI is a command line tool that helps you install, update and run Lodestone Core.

You should always install Lodestone CLI over Lodestone Core, since Lodestone Core does not have the ability to self-update.

Installation

Lodestone CLI is a self-contained exectuable, you can simply download and run the newest release here

lodestone_cli's Issues

-s flag does not skip update check

Hello! I have two issues:

  • The update check is failing because github is blocking the user agent or my IP:
[!!!] Failed to check for cli update: HTTP status client error (403 Forbidden) for url (https://api.github.com/repos/Lodestone-Team/lodestone_cli/releases/latest)
    [i] LODESTONE_PATH=/.../.lodestone
[!!!] Error updating lodestone: HTTP status client error (403 Forbidden) for url (https://api.github.com/repos/Lodestone-Team/lodestone_core/releases/latest), cli will now crash...
    The application panicked (crashed).
Message: called `Result::unwrap()` on an `Err` value:
0: HTTP status client error (403 Forbidden) for url (https://api.github.com/repos/Lodestone-Team/lodestone_core/releases/latest)

  • Using the -s flag does not disable this check, causing the cli to fail regardless.

Let me know if there's anything else I can provide.

Incompatible with Debian 11 due to libc6 ( GLIBC_2.3 not found )

When trying to install lodestone CLI I get 3 errors all of which say roughly the same thing. version GLIBC_2.3X not found (required by lodestone_cli) Debian 11 provides libc6 only up to 2.31, but Debian 12 provides up to 2.36. Source: https://pkgs.org/download/libc6

Is this higher dependency absolutely necessary? I am running Debian 11 as my host system (TrueNAS Scale 23.10) and am using systemd-nspawn to containerize services. I will attempt to run a Debian 12 container and report back, but having dependency issues before the installer even starts is annoying. Might be worth putting a compatibility note for the Linux section if the newer libc6 versions are strictly necessary.
