cifawr's Issues

Alter CMake structure of dependencies (solvant, georhiau,...)

Problem

The CMake structure of the dependencies of CiFawr (Big dog) needs to change to reflect the namespace structure.

That is, currently we have this

#include "georhiau/algo/delaunay.hpp"

int main() {
    georhiau::delaunay(...)
}

and we want this

#include "georhiau/delaunay.hpp"

int main() {
    georhiau::delaunay(...)
}

WITHOUT altering the directory structure in the dependencies.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Achieve the above.

Pull georhiau and solvant into cifawr via cmake.

Problem

In order to get started with development on cifawr we need the functionality from georhiau and solvant.

Suggested Solution

Do this by pulling the relevant projects in via cmake.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Make georhiau and solvant functionality available in cmake.
  • Make sure the CMakeLists.txt are well documented.
  • A simple example executable in georhiau. A simple example in this case could be a polygon before and after rotation. This may involve adding some functionality to both dependencies.

Change ExternalProject to FetchContent

Problem

georhiau and solvant are currently imported via CMake using the ExternalProject module. A more modern way to do this is using FetchContent, such that the libraries are populated at configure time instead of build time (configure time is time at which cmake is executed in terminal). On top of this, georhiau and solvant both use GTest, and ExternalProject produces two copies of GTest within each respective build folder.

This may require a reconfiguration of how georhiau and solvant fetch GTest, or a manual configuration of how they are fetched within CiFawr.

Acceptance Criteria

  • solvant and georhiau fetched into CiFawr via FetchContent
