Overview

This is the code for this video on Youtube by Siraj Raval as part of The Math of Intelligence course. There are two versions of the game, a python version built on top of the SGE Game Engine and a HTML5 version made with Phaser. You can play the HTML5 version here: https://citiususc.github.io/citius-invaders It uses an evolutionary algorithm to make the AI invaders better

Dependencies

pygame
sge

Install dependencies using pip.

Usage

Run python invaders.py to run the game in terminal

Credits

The credits for this code go to citiususc. I've merely created a wrapper to get people started.

python invaders.py opens blank window

Got all dependencies installed, and tried to run, but all that comes up is a blank window with CITIUS-invaders in the title bar.

No feedback from the terminal so not sure where to debug. Anyone have more pygame experience that has any idea about this?

Hi Siraj,

This might be a silly question but how do I install sge? I tried pip and it found no matching distribution. I googled sge and couldn't find the python package. I did found sge-python and just wanted to make sure that's the right package.
