core's Introduction

Welcome to Liquid Investigations!

The ‘Liquid investigations’ project is a Google DNI funded project, driven by CRJI.org, where coders and journalists work towards making investigative collaborations less burdensome and more secure.

We are creating an open source digital toolkit, based on existing hardware and software. When fully developed, the kit will allow for distributed data search and sharing, annotations, wiki and chat. While the software can run on any server, focus will be placed on small and portable devices.

Please take a look at our website at https://liquidinvestigations.org

You can find our project wiki here.

core's Issues

automated integration tests

Test initial wizard, login into all apps.
Will use the "splinter" python library to automate testing with headless Chrome and Firefox browsers.

fix API issues from code review

We decided to merge #9, because we needed the features, but there are some unresolved issues in the review. Please take a look at them.

Get links to apps on the homepage from JSON

The liquid homepage should display links to the bundled apps:

  • http(s)://hoover.${liquid_domain}
  • http(s)://dokuwiki.${liquid_domain}
  • http(s)://rocketchat.${liquid_domain}
  • http(s)://nextcloud.${liquid_domain} (replaces davros)

For the previous iteration of liquid, this was implemented as a django settings file template: https://github.com/liquidinvestigations/setup/blob/master/ansible/roles/liquid-core/templates/local.py#L16-L34

I think we should keep the environment variable names and configure them via the nomad template: https://github.com/liquidinvestigations/node/blob/master/templates/liquid.nomad#L21-L31
