YCList is outdated and seems like YC maintains it's own list.
http://www.ycombinator.com/companies/
YCList should probably crawl YC's page to keep it up to date and offer something more than the above. funding/stats?
Profig of Ycombinator batch S12 shut down and can be labeled as dead.

Hello, would you please add this company to the list? It is funded by YC and was a YC 500 startups boot camp member
AdsOptimal (aka Social Nation, Inc.)
Thank you!

It appears Castle just shut down:
per their website bizzy.io they exited, acquired by sendgrid.

Zen99 is no longer active.

What do you think?
yclist is kinda neat, but could be super cool if the data was static and people could update with PRs instead of creating issues for changes.
What do you think about exporting as JSON and I convert to a jekyll(or another static builder) site?
This is just a suggestion, but I found your site when trying to find YC companies in NYC, so I think it might be a natural fit to add location data to the listed information.
Cheers!
It looks like LendUp is acknowledged by YC as having been part of YC W12.
Hello,
I'd like to contribute enhancing filters and search on your website (yclist.com) but I'd like to know if that is a really improvement for you because many things will change (i.e. ruby for node.js and also layout).
The PR would be based on a software (https://github.com/itemsapi/curated-list) for creating curated lists. Everything will work quite similar as now (i.e. editing yaml file is responsible for website generation). Maybe deployment might be easier (with github pages or netlify) and it will be easier for users to search and filter startups i.e. by specific keywords.
Here is a prototype - https://yclist.netlify.com (just for demo). Please let me know if creating PR does make sense
Interviewed (S15) is now part of Indeed:
Consider allowing user to isolate only the non-profits (eg Watsi). Here is a list: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10575963.
Grouper is still listed but it shut down in October 2016.
YumDots does not appear to be active any more either.
Revlo shut down on June 16, 2017

Hi, can you please update our link on your YC List (http://yclist.com/) from http://7cupsoftea.com to http://7cups.com ? Thank you!

When I look at the page I expect sorting chronologically by the "Class" column. I see this in app/loaders/yaml_loader.rb :
def get_options(year, season)
options = {}
if season == "fellowship"
klass = year - 2014
return unless klass > 0
options[:filename] = "data/companies/fellowship.v#{klass}.yml"
options[:cohort] = "F#{klass}"
else
options[:filename] = "data/companies/#{year}.#{season}.yml"
options[:cohort] = "#{season[0].capitalize}#{year.to_s[-2..-1]}"
end
options
Might fellowships using something like options[:cohort] = "F#{year.to_s[-2..-1]}"
rather than klass
make more sense sorting?

Are you interested in including the YC Fellowship companies in this list?
Fellowship V2 list - http://blog.ycombinator.com/first-fellowship-virtual-demo-day
The V1 list is out there somewhere, but a few quick searches on the YC site and Posthaven didn't turn it up.
I really like yclist.com. I prefer it over newyclist.com.
I think your condensed form is great.
Thanks for updating it.
IBM acquired in July 2015.
Would be really nice to filter by "music", "payment", "servers".
Per their website and blog, PatientBank has shut down.

Auro.ai has joined Ridecell - not clear if it's a sale or a merger or...
The Recurse Center (S'10) is still listed as "Hacker School" on yclist.com. We changed our name last year:

YesGraph was Acqui-hired by Lyft
Hi,
There is an error in your list. Qurasense from Fellowship 1 in winter 2015 is not dead, but participated in YC Winter 2016 - and is very much allive!:)
Søren, co-founder of Qurasense
Elucify has been purchased by Circleback:
The domain should be: https://42technologies.com
The company was sold to Boyd Enterprises in 2014 and continues to operate ongoing. The DBA of the company is Jellyfish Art, so any mention online will be of Jellyfish Art. As the founder, I realize this is an unusual company for YC, so feel free to email [email protected] with any questions.
RoomBlocker (S15) has shut down:
I was wondering if it'd be possible to add social (twitter, etc.) profiles of the founders of each company. I've been looking around for contact info for some alumni to get some advice, and I am having a hard time.
Thanks!
Would love to update the following:
"One Month Rails" to "One Month"
"http://onemonthrails.com" to "https://onemonth.com"
"Learn how to code with the #1 bestselling online class One Month Rails" to "Learn how to code websites, build apps, and grow your business."
A few services I've seen still pull from YC List, and I'd love to see this updated so that I don't have to keep reaching out to each one to get them to update our name and URL.
Thanks!
