There's a bunch of actions which use outdated linters or dependencies which have been deprecated - so we should look into replacing those with whatever the latest best ones are.

Actually write meaningful comments instead of // X comment

Expected behavior
Examples would be nice to be able to see how to use the library.

Re-add all of the benchmarking and recursive verification code in #40 - for some reason we never merged that PR in but it was extremely valuable. Maybe just remove all of the cornflakes stuff haha

We need to improve this library generally by finding unused or duplicate functions. Clean up the interfaces so they're all standard, and write reasonable documentation about what it actually does and how you can use it and so on.

BA will take ownership of this library under a new open source management initiative, and assign someone responsible for maintaining it in the coming months.
