librivox-ansible's Issues

Uploads and validator folder permissions

After a routine Ansible run users are reporting being unable to upload ("The upload destination folder does not appear to be writable.") and to delete files in their validator directories.

Emails not being sent by wiki server

Any attempt to have the wiki server send email results in a Unknown error in PHP's mail() function. message.

Examples:

Requesting a confirmation code on a newly created wiki account does not work:

Librivox wiki could not send your confirmation mail. Please check your email address for invalid characters.

Mailer returned: Unknown error in PHP's mail() function.

Changing email address through the user preferences page gives a similar error:

Unknown error in PHP's mail() function.

Requesting a password reset fails silently.

Workflow Logging People Out (Login timeout shortened?)

Admins are reporting that they're getting logged out of the workflow (and perhaps forums) sooner than previously.

Also (related?), people have been getting a "you are not authorized" message, but refreshing seems to clear it:

"If I am in a project thread and someone, say, is requesting a section , I can’t get in. I get the “you are not authorized “ message. If I just hit refresh, I can get in just fine."

"because I need project pages to add the cover links I tend to leave 1 open and when I have uploaded the files go to the catalogue page, collect the project number and replace the number on the project page, get the right one, enter the links, check with the catalogue page. I agree this is not a standard use but it has worked for a non-standard process.
Now when I change the number on the project page I get a "you are not entitled" type message, but if try again straight away I get there so it's not world-shattering , just odd."

Target reachable by ssh from OSX shell, but "UNREACHABLE" error when I run ansible playbook

I am entirely unfamiliar with ansible, but have been following instructions shown here as best I can.

I am running Ubuntu as a virtual machine on an iMac. I am able to ssh as "peterdann" from an OSX session into Ubuntu successfully.

However, when I run the ansible playbook from an OSX session where I am logged in as "peterdann", I get the following message after entering "peterdann" as the BECOME user, followed by the Ubuntu password for "peterdann":

UNREACHABLE! => {"changed": false, "msg": "Failed to connect to the host via ssh: [email protected]: Permission denied (publickey,password).", "unreachable": true}

Update localdev doc

I'm stepping through this process myself on several versions of Ubuntu to see what all needs changed. See WIP pull request.
