fixture's Introduction

This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.

Available Scripts

In the project directory, you can run:

npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in the browser.

The page will reload if you make edits.
You will also see any lint errors in the console.

npm test

Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.
See the section about running tests for more information.

npm run build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

See the section about deployment for more information.

npm run eject

Note: this is a one-way operation. Once you eject, you can’t go back!

If you aren’t satisfied with the build tool and configuration choices, you can eject at any time. This command will remove the single build dependency from your project.

Instead, it will copy all the configuration files and the transitive dependencies (Webpack, Babel, ESLint, etc) right into your project so you have full control over them. All of the commands except eject will still work, but they will point to the copied scripts so you can tweak them. At this point you’re on your own.

You don’t have to ever use eject. The curated feature set is suitable for small and middle deployments, and you shouldn’t feel obligated to use this feature. However we understand that this tool wouldn’t be useful if you couldn’t customize it when you are ready for it.

fixture's Issues

Fix users menu

The menu that pops up when the user clicks on its avatar in the navbar is a little misplaced. It should be moved so it appears below the navbar.

Random team generator

There should be a way to pick some users (even number) and the app should generate teams automatically.

Collapse navbar

For small screens, the navbar should collapse into a burguer icon. Clicking the burguer should open a drawer with the links.

Improve AddTeam component's form

A team currently consists of:

  • name: string
  • members: array of {userId: string, displayName: String}

The AddTeam component, reachable at /team/add, displays a form with a simple text field for the name and a list to select members (users) by clicking them.

There is currently no label to indicate that you are actually choosing members (although that may seem obvious).

Also, each row should have a checkbox for selecting members.

Implement private routing

If a user is not logged in and tries to access mainMenu or tournaments or teams they should be redirected to login page.

If a user is logged in and tries to access login they should be redirected to mainMenu.

No items to display

In the teams component, when you filter items (by search text, my teams or whatever) and no matching items are found, display a message like "No items to display" or something.

Add validations to AddTeam component's form

A team currently consists of:

  • name: string
  • members: array of {userId: string, displayName: String}

The AddTeam component, reachable at /team/add, displays a form with a simple text field for the name and a list to select members (users) by clicking them.

There are currently no validations whatsoever for that form. Some could be:

  • Don't allow empty names
  • Don't allow names with more than, say, 64 characters.
  • Force to choose at least one member (user).

Evaluate removing ids from documents data

We currently have some collections with an explicit id within the data (e.g: userId in the user collection) which looks redundant since Firestore already provides an id for each document.

We may be able to remove these inner ids and use the ones from firebase by ensuring every fetch method from the firebase class appends it.

Fix shitty floating button

Both Tournaments and Teams pages have a floating action button for the add functionality. Replace this with a regular button and place it in a better spot.
