ivcalc's Issues

Unlabelled box

A minor issue, and possibly to do with the website serebii.net rather than this tool - I'm not sure - but on this page there's an unlabelled box to the right of the Characteristic box. It has some Pokémon types in it, but not all.
Edit: Also, there are some IV figures in bold, but the help text doesn't say why.

Missing dlc mon

The sword and shield IV calculator is missing the added Pokemon from the dlc

File architecture

My suggestion, in order to make the code more managable, is to group relevant js code and css styles in files, while keeping a minified production version of index.html.

[SuMo] Zygarde formes

The species drop-down list currently has four entries for Zygarde: 10% forme, 50% forme, Complete forme, and a default entry for Zygarde. The default entry is the same as the 50% forme, since that was Zygarde's only forme in Generation 6.

The default and 50% forme entries should be merged. Also, note that the 50% forme entry has a base Sp. Defense of 80, while the default entry has a base Sp. Defense of 95. The latter number is the correct base Sp. Defense for 50% forme Zygarde.

Missing Isle of Armor Pokémon

The Sword and Shield IV calculator is missing the returning Pokémon from the Isle of Armor as well as the new Pokémon, namely Kubfu, Urshifu, and Zarude.

Missing mon

The Pokémon Kangaskhan isn’t an available option to pick on the list for the iv calculator.

Espeon IVs too high?

I have an Espeon that I wanted to check the IV’s for. All of the other stats were fine except the Speed stat. It says, “Speed (62) should be 53 to 60.” It shows 62 on my 3DS. I was wondering if the Pokémon having pokérus before is a factor of this?

Please let me know if something is wrong.

Diancie/Hoopa/Volcanion

In the Pokémon species dropdown list, Diancie's name is misspelled as "Diance". (This is referring to the standard entry for Diancie; the Mega Evolution entry is spelled correctly.)

Also, the Pokédex numbers for Hoopa (standard entry) and Volcanion are reversed in the dropdown list's code. Volcanion is listed as #720, and Hoopa is listed as #721. #720 should be Hoopa; #721 should be Volcanion. Although the calculator works fine for both Pokémon, the error causes the wrong sprite to show when either Pokémon is selected.

Missing Way Too Many Pokemon

This calculator claims to work with Sun & Moon and Sword & Shield yet doesn't even have one of the "examples" as an option (Blacephalon). I tried to calculate the IVs of my Tapu Fini yet I can't because too many pokemon just aren't available to be calculated.

Venipede is missing from the IV Calculator

Venipede doesn't appear in the IV calculator. Trying to type its name out only brings up Venusaur. It won't let me type in the rest of the name, and closer inspection shows Venipede missing from the drop down list.

Hidden Power calculation using only IV input

If you load a fresh version of the calculator (whether by going to the page for the first time or refreshing the page) and input a set of IVs, check the "Lock Median" option, and click "Calculate Hidden Power", the calculation never finishes, with the status display showing only "Calculating Hidden Power..."

If you follow the same steps with the GenIII-V calculator, the calculation does finish and you get Hidden Power's type and power for those IVs.

The calculation finishes on the modern (XY) calculator only if the IVs were generated by inputting a Pokémon's stat values.

After doing some tests, I believe the problem is caused by p.sortnum(); on line 915, a remnant of the pre-GenVI code for calculating Hidden Power's base power. When the function display_hp() is called at line 927, p is undefined, causing p.sortnum(); in display_hp() to fail and as a result display_hp() never completes. However, when display_hp() is called at line 962, p is defined (on line 931), allowing display_hp() to complete.

I've found two potential fixes:

  • Uncommenting line 926, giving p a value of [60]
  • p.sortnum(); could be commented out in display_hp() since the value of p is no longer used

IV Judge

Texts should be updated accordingly:

  • IV of 0: "No Good"
  • IV range of 1-15: "Decent"
  • IV range of 16-25: "Pretty Good"
  • IV range 26-29: "Very Good"
  • IV of 30: "Fantastic"
  • IV of 31: "Best"

Zygarde Sp. Def

Hello,
In the IV calcuator, Zygarde (50% form) base Sp.Def is listed as 80, while it is actually 95. Realized something was wrong when it told me my Zygarde had a stat 15 points above what was possible.

Eternatus stats

I tried the calculator on my eternatus and it says my speed stat is too high. I just caught it and it only fought two pokemon one of which had 3 speed EV yield.

Rillaboom Level 37 Does not compute, Sp.D Incorrect.

Hi, when trying to calculate my Friend's Rillaboom"s possible IVs it keep telling me that The Sp.Defense stat is wrong.
I'm Afraid the I have no idea what the Effort Values for her Pokemon would be, and not entering anything in those slots hasn't stopped me from being able to check any of my own Pokemon, so I'm not sure if this is a bug or not.

Alolan Diglett's Special Defense Stat

Something appears to be wrong with Alolan Diglett's Special Defense Stat on the ivCalculator. I'm using the latest version, and it wants the special defense stat of numerous bred, traded, and wild caught alolan diglet to be about 10 units higher than it actually is.

If you need an example, here's a level 22 I just pokepelago-ed to EV train, but which is otherwise untouched:
Jolly, Alert to Sounds:
HP 40 Attack 49 Defense 19 Special Attack 24 Special Defense 31, Speed 71,
With 252 EVs invested in Attack, and 252 EVs invested in Speed.

The Iv Calculator is positive the Special Defense needs to be 40-47.

If you need more examples, I have a few.

Reversion of changes

The latest revision to the XY calculator undid all of the fixes I submitted earlier. Thus, issue #4 is a bug once again, issue #3 is completely unresolved, and several typos and errors were reintroduced.

Decidueye stat

When I tried calculating my Deidueye's IVs it claims that the values I entered are incorrect. However, on review I found that all the information is correct.(sorry for bad pic quality)

S/V - Corviknight data is incorrect

In the Scarlet/Violet IV calculator, I’m getting these bugs for Corviknight:

  • Type = Electric/Fighting instead of Flying/Steel
  • Egg group = Ground instead of Flying
  • I’ve triple-checked my inputs, but it’s telling me the Speed of my freshly-caught Corviknight is too low.
    • It says the Speed should be 132 to 150 at level 55, which doesn’t sound right given that your Pokédex says level 50 with a beneficial nature is 79 - 130.
