lattepanda-win10-software's Issues

(Re-) Flashing BIOS from LattePanda Delta doesn't work! The >README.md< is wrong. @LattePandaTeam

I just tried to (re-) flash the BIOS from my @LattePanda Delta ...

I did it, like it is described in your >README.md< ... [https://github.com/LattePandaTeam/LattePanda-Win10-Software/blob/master/BIOS%20for%20LattePanda%20Alpha%26Delta/README.md] ... but the "Firmware Update Utility" doesn't handle the "command" or "option" >/b< which is mentioned and therefore it doesn't worked!

Audio driver

I can´t install audio drivers on Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 64bit on LattePanda 32GB/2GB.
When I try to install these drivers manually, I get "Driver is not intended for this platform".

Any solution?

Adding BIOS support for PCI-E Non-transparent bridge (NTB)

High speed PCI-E interconnect of SBCs would open a lot of new perspectives.

For physically interconnect two SBCs, there could be several possibilities to explore:

  • using M.2 to Oculink SFF-8612 adapters connected via a Oculink SFF-8611 cable (crossover?)
  • using M2. to SFF-8644 adapters and a SFF-8644 cable (crossover?)
  • using a Thunderbolt.

This would also require a host-to-host connectivity support for PCI-E.

The aim of this ticket is to implement support for Non-transparent bridge (NTB) in the LattePanda BIOS - see https://github.com/jonmason/ntb/wiki

Detect LattePanda Version

The sticker on my lattepanda is damaged. how can I know the version CR110 or CR200. Is there any way to find it ?

Screen Orientation on 10" Screen

The currently provided BIOS for 10.1" Displays only works in Portrait mode, is there a way to fix this? It's messing up USB-Touchscreens in it's orientation ... !

ldattach pps assignment stops working after some time

Hi!

On Lattepanda 3 Delta with BIOS LP-BS-7-S70JR120-CN51G**-D** and -E:

When i set the line discipline for the on-board RS232 DCD pin to PPS signal (GPS time sync) with
sudo ldattach 18 /dev/ttyS0
the voltage pulses on the pin are recognized:

sudo ppstest /dev/pps1

trying PPS source "/dev/pps1"
found PPS source "/dev/pps1"
ok, found 1 source(s), now start fetching data...

time_pps_fetch() error -1 (Connection timed out)
time_pps_fetch() error -1 (Connection timed out)

But after some time (one to four minutes) i get timeouts (see above).
(voltage pulses still arrive - verified with oscilloscope)

Killing ldattach and starting everything again works - but only for a few minutes.

Testet with multiple distributions and kernel versions (Ubuntu 22.04, Manjaro) on multiple Lattepanda 3 Delta boards.

Found the following, where the issue was BIOS related:
https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/701529/pps-on-focal-20-04-timed-out-and-never-recovers

Could this too be BIOS related?

Best regards

Disable secure-boot

After changing the BIOS on my lattepanda alpha, I dont have the option to disable secure-boot... My current BIOS is using the: Alpha -8100y KR300 Auto-power-on BIOS

How can I disable the secure boot in this BIOS?

thanks!

LattePanda Alpha KR310 m3-8100y boards do not power on with autopoweron bios

I'm cross-posting this as I'm not sure whether the forum or this issue tracker is more monitored: https://www.lattepanda.com/topic-f6t35524.html

I am trying to enable auto-on on a R310 LattePanda Alpha.

With the S70KR300 board, the R300 instructions are clear with all the necessary files included in the zip.

But for the S70KR310, the instructions are less clear.

In the zips provided the "EC-Alpha-KR310-Autopoweron.zip" archive only has 3 files:

  • FEC64.NSH
  • eFuitX64.efi
  • S70KR310A-V9-poweron.bin

but the instructions request running:
fs3:\> AfuEfix64.efi BS-7-S70KR200-K65A-B1A.Bin /p /b /n
but neither file is available.

If I guess that the first step for the auto poweron bios flash should be
fs3:> eFuitX64.efi S70KR310A-V9-poweron.bin /p /b /n
then I get the error "ERROR: unrecognize parameter /p . Aborting."

Further, for the second step in the instructions:
fs3:\> eFuitX64.efi /u EC-7-S70KR200-K65A-B1A.bin
it requires a different bin file, where there is only one provided in the zip archive.

Please help me understand which files or instructions should be used to update to the R310 auto poweron bios.

Headless booting

Hi guys,

Why is it that the LattePanda does not support headless booting.....I've been looking all over for a solution to this and all I have come across is to buy a HDMI Terminator which to be honest that's kind of unacceptable.

Isn't this something you guys can fix with a BIOS update?

Or could you give me the explaination of why is this not possible with these boards?

I'm working with a V1 4gb model by the way.

Thanks

Auto Power On on m3-7y30 not working

We have an Alpha m3-7y30.

The board works normally with Ubuntu. We are not using an RTC battery, and currently we are powering the board through USB C, although we are going to power it with the pins.

We have flashed BIOS and EC version B2 from Alpha Auto-power-on BIOS.zip following the methods described in the following README:
https://github.com/LattePandaTeam/LattePanda-Win10-Software/tree/master/BIOS%20for%20LattePanda%20Alpha%26Delta/Alpha%20m3-7y30

After finishing, we turned off the board, unplugged the power cord and plugged it again, but the board wont boot until the power button is pressed, so the Auto Power On is not working. The blue light just keeps on blinking.

We have tried flashing it again following the same method, and then using this method:
https://www.lattepanda.com/forum/topic/314266#

With the method above, the BIOS is flashed using Fpt instead of AfuEfix64, but we aren't sure if this changes anything.

However, the auto power on is still not working. We have seen other forum posts regarding this issue but the proposed solutions are not useful.

We would really appreciate if you could help us, as this board is being used in an ongoing project.

Ghost backup problem on LattePanda

Recently I have discovered that Ghost.exe copied USB boot (FAT32, free dos using rufus tool) cannot start ghost on LattePanda(2G/32Gb).
What other system backup (ghosting) method available?

V1 2G32GB Windows 10 drivers don't install or work

Hello, First can I ask why your not using official driver packages so that the device manager can just find them?

With that said... The install script does not work and the batch file appears to do nothing...

Board can't detect large monitor 32:9 on boot

I have a Samsung 49" CRG9 Dual QHD 5120 x 1440 (LC49RG90SSNXZA)
On a fresh boot, the Latte Panda 800s will not connect to this monitor. Other systems work with the monitor and the Panda works on other monitors.

The workaround is to connect the Panda to any other monitor or have the CRCG9 in PBP mode (Smaller resolution 16:9) while it's booting. Once at the BIOS or OS it can then be plugged into the CRCG9 in regular mode and it will work fine.

Boot on Power

Bios/LattePanda v1.0 for Z8300 only/Auto Power on BIOS/4G/LattePanda 4G+64GB.zip

I've updated the bios, I think, it did all the checking and writing, but I still can't find a boot on power on option in the bios, and it doesn't do it by default. How do I enable it, which section should it be?

Boot Error 92 - Lattepanda V1

System will not boot, stuck on LP Logo with code 92 in bottom right.

Not unless I use the "Reset system with ME disable ModeMEUD000" in BIOS.
There is a device error with "Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface"
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE"

Some other info;
using a basic dell wired keyboard/mouse
using wifi
using the official RasPi power cable (tried many different cables and power bricks, yes many were 5v3a's)
I've tried the many different tricks like power/reset hold down and even the one where you hold them and remove/add power etc...
I've tried unplugging everything, did this also and let the system sit for an entire 24+ hours without power

PXE Booting

The previous issue on this was closed but there was no official word on if it would be supported. Can PXE booting be added to the BIOS? We are testing these boards for production use and we need to be able to PXE boot in order to image batches of them.

Problem changing bios CR200 Z8350. Unable 64bit to 32bit

Good afternoon:

We are unable to change the bios to 32 bits anymore with the resource of this github.

Entering in the Bios, the only data we see that changed its the Build Date and Time 07/10/2018 11:19:37.

The message error appears when AMI Firmware Update utility is running.

  • Check RomLayout..... Changed.
4c- Error: Rom file ROM layout is changed.

IMG_20190515_182846

We change a lot of S70CR200 z8350 LP bios from 64 to 32 bits before, this is the first time we encounter thir problem.
Anyone has a solution for this situation?

latte panda 4 / 64 , i want to use SD, BT and the others....

i bought second-hand lattepanda 4/64, there is windows 10 pro at lattepanda.( DFR0419, Z8350)

i can't use micro SD card, and i can't use blue tooth,

i found out that i need to install these accessory's driver to use them.

i found an article that explain how to install lattepanda drivers.

but there is a only link that is at google drive.

i downloaded that folder "4+64_drivers-20211114~~~~-001 "
but there is not a install program such as setup.exe.

how can i install all of these items at once ?

or

which driver can i install to use MICRO SD CARD ?

THERE IS NOT AN SD CARD Folder,,,

i think , SD CARD driver folder is maybe SPI ? DPTF ? ISH ? PMIC ? PSS? TXEI ? BM?

I need a manual for installing drivers manually.

help me.... latte panda team

and congratulation for launching lattepanda 3 delta,

i think , lattepanda price is so high.

i think price is very important reference to buy something.

Bad instructions, access denied

Your instructions are incorrect. Whenever you change your filenames or paths you need to update your readme. There is no file "Install.bat"

When running the file "install_DF_S70CR100.bat" it results in 'access denied' for every driver.

I'm probably going to just send it back to Amazon for a refund. Your product support is very sub-standard.

Request: Upload Boot Loop Fix Bios for Delta 3

Hi,
we are currently having the issue that multiple of our lattepanda delta 3 (running Ubuntu 22.04 and 20.04) get stuck in bootloops rather often. The only current fix is to connect HDMI and keyboard, enter the bios and enable the eMMC boot drive again. For us, this is not a viable fix because all our pandas are running headless.
We found the following thread in your forum linking to a bios update in a dropbox:
https://www.lattepanda.com/forum/topic/319875
My colleagues and I usually have bad experiences when it comes to “random” dropbox links in online forums.
Could you please confirm that this is an official bios update that can be installed safely and also eventually upload it to this repository to make it "more official"?

Thank you!

PXE support?

Hello, thanks you for great device :)
I can't find/enable PXE boot, do you have planned do add it?

best regards

S70CR200-CC55G Firmware Missing From Repo

@LattePanda Can you upload a copy of the S70CR200-CC55G firmware? My lattepanda crashed all of a sudden for some unknown reason decided to brick itself with the solid red light. I have the SPI programming tool as mentioned in the guide but I need the firmware file for it.

Lattepanda Auto power on in Ubuntu

Hello, I have bought Lattepanda Alpha 8210Y Model. And I want to make my lattepanda auto power on. But there is no documentation to use auto power on in ubuntu 20.04. Is it possible to power my lattepanda board automatically in not only Win10 but also inUbuntu 20.04?

If there is a way, please let me know. Thanks.

WoL/WoWLan capability!

Hi, is it possible to use Wake On Lan (wired) or WoWLAN (wireless) with LattePanda? How can i configure? i look in documentation in LattePanda site and i didn't find anything! Thanks

LattePanda stuck in a loop

When setting it up LattePanda asks for the language, then the wifi and the settings and then just says wait a moment and starts to do the same thing again and again. I've got no idea how to stop it, reset it or get it out of the loop. Turning it off and unplugging it doesn't work.
Do you know how to solve this?
Thanks.

Why was LP-BS-7-S70JR120-CN51G-D-UBT-ON removed?

Hey there

I'm running ubuntu on Latte Panda 3 Delta on a bios version: LP-BS-7-S70JR120-CN51G-D that was released on 08/15/2022

I'm having this issue here: https://www.lattepanda.com/forum/topic/319875

After tracing the links, i saw that you were recommending flashing LP-BS-7-S70JR120-CN51G-D-UBT-ON but it was removed from the repository. Why was it removed? is it safe to flash it now?

If its not safe to flash it, can i LP-BS-7-S70JR120-CN51G-E since it is already fixing: "Remove the fixed startup sequence to solve the boot loop issue for Ubuntu" ?

Thanks in advance

LP Windows activation issue

Dear guys, great works !
I have just bought the LP board from RS-Components and everything seems to work properly with the only exception of the windows license.
The board came with a yellow lable on the USB connetors claiming "ACTIVATED" version of the installed windows.
Unfortunately after powering up and booting the board I have got a message from the OS telling me that the installed windows product key is not valid.
It seems that during production a key was installed but not for the right OS.
The LP board is the 2/32Gb version and it came with pre-loaded Windows10 Home edition as it should.
Do you have any suggestion or could you provide me a valid key to install on the LP board ?

Thanks & regards

Lorenzo

LP BIOS install problem

When i was trying to install linux to LP, i deleted the window10 with gparted. I followed some tutorials about install linux but i was unsuccesful. Now i downloaded BIOS-beta and done everything like you wrote. I formatted my disk FAT32 and i copied bios file to usb disk and i plug gedthe disk LP and plugged the microusb cable. But nothing was done. Monitor doesnt working, BIOS returning "fs1" screen did not come, LP did not give a power to keyboard and mouse. Please help me

BIOS Update failed

I tried to update my BIOS to the auto-boot version.
After putting preparing my thumb drive with the correct files,
I can see the LattePanda booting into the EFI console and running startup.nsh.
However, the last lines is an error message:

startup.nsh> afuefix64 DF-BI-7-S70CR110-C45B-001-C /b /p /n /x
30 - Error: Problem opening file for reading.
fs1:\>

I verified all files, and they match the one from this repository and are the correct version for my LattePanda (4/64GB).
How can I update my BIOS now?
