Preliminary notes on using this parser, Version 3;0;00:

This parser implements the 3rd baseline as published in _The Complete
Lojban Language_.

The parser reads the standard input and writes to the standard output.
These may be redirected on the command line with the usual < and > symbols.
You can also specify the input file as a single argument.  If no file is
specified, and the standard input is not redirected, the parser will re-execute
itself repeatedly and will process only a single line (you can break up the
single line by using backslash-newline; see below).

The parser accepts certain switches on the command line:
	-dv prints each valsi as read.
	-dL prints each token as lexed by the compounder.
	-dR prints each compounder reduction as attempted.
	-dl prints each token as lexed by the YACC parser.
	-dr prints each YACC reduction as executed.
	-de prints each elidable terminator as inserted.
	-d* is equivalent to all other -d options together.

	-t produces a dump of the internal tree in TAB-separated columns:
		column 1 is a node number;
		column 2 is a rule/selma'o name;
		column 3 is a word for terminals;
		columns 3-n are numbers of subnodes for non-terminals;
		there are no forward references to nodes.

	-e omits the insertion of elidables.

	-p outputs the text as a Prolog datum, with rule/selma'o names
		used as functors.

	-f outputs a full parse: normally, tree nodes with one
		child are omitted (most useful with -t or -p).

	-e dumps a cmavo list corresponding to the parser's beliefs.

Input is preprocessed as follows:
	Upper-case letters are changed to lower-case.
	The . character is treated as a space.
	Text enclosed in slashes is ignored.
	Newlines preceded by an \ character are ignored.
	Digits are converted to the corresponding cmavo.
	All other non-alphabetic characters (note that apostrophe is
		alphabetic) are ignored.

These rules allow the re-parsing of parsed text without error.

At the end of each parse, the parser prints the space used in bytes (broken
down into token space and string space) and the time in seconds.  Times are not
printed when running interactively.
