This Plugin hooks into the Login of Joomla, specify the URL to your Owncloud / Nextcloud server and all O/N Cloud users will be able to log into Joomla.
Does this allow to also login with the account on Nextcloud, or does it completely replace the (existing) Joomla accounts?
Also, what happens if the Nextcloud connection fails? Is the account duplicated in the Joomla database and can be used? What about encrypted passwords in such a case?
Last but not least, can internal and external accounts be linked to slowly transition away from a Joomla only user base to a Nextcloud only userbase? Assuming the answer to the first question is yes, of course :)
I'm using both NextCloud (12.0.5) and Joomla! 3.8.5. I installed your plugin into the Joomla. Both sites are on the same server with SSL. [https://gbranlaw.com/stage2018/index.php] and [https://gbranlaw.com/nxtcld2018/index.php/login].
So how do I use this to facilitate user login... my expectation is that the user los in ONCE and the hook would complete login for the other within a wrapper or link on the one of the URl locations???
Please clarify usage... thank you so much for your interest and efforts!
hi, I have a joomla site and one with nextcloud 12. and ldap authentication is enabled for both. This plugin allows users to switch from joomla to nextcloud without re-logging in?
Thanks for the reply.
Carlo
Hi,
it is also possible the other way around? To export Joomla users and import them in Nextcloud and to login into Nextcloud with the Joomla credentials?
