Describe the problem

Firefox minimise/close buttons are cut off at the left/right edges when the titlebar is disabled

i believe this is due to the negative margins in lines 3146/3147

they could easily be removed, but without them the buttons are a little spaced out

Expected behaviour

firefox CSDs look like native CSDs

Describe the problem

Running the blue version of the theme, the colored accent bar in GNOME Software is green.

Expected behaviour

I would expect this accent to be blue, to match the rest of the theme.

Describe the problem

For whatever reason Ambiant Mate uses low quality images for trash and CD on the destkop

Expected behaviour

Higher quality images should be used

Should note that I installed the icons and themes in .icons and .themes because i am not exactly certain as to where i should put them to be properly FreeDesktop compadible(for things like flatpaks) but that is a separate issue.

Describe the problem

On fresh installs of Ubuntu-MATE, after installation of the "proper" MATE themes via your PPA (Thank you)
MATE version of the mouse pointer is unavailable only the awful Yaru one...

Expected behaviour

"MATE" cursor option available in Appearance > Customise > Pointer
Files formally found in /usr/share/icons/mate/cursors
Selecting a MATE theme should also automatically have the MATE cursor style.

In an application like Transmission, the text colour when hovering over the TreeView item is too light.

This is a wonderful theme everyone should adhere. The font and the theme controls are a genius attractive design. I'll mention this RPM thing for future references if we forgot them. 😄

Sorry if tis spam but Mate themes could be made code compatible to yaru ( mostly)

While being close it still reminds me of windowblinds -/ windows vista.

Describe the problem

In Synaptic, when the tabs are enabled for the main window, the styling is broken.

Expected behaviour

This works in 18.04:

For any one using gtk3-classic, we could include the styling out of the box.

For every one else using normal GTK packages, nothing changes.

Both RaveFinity's Ambiance/Radiance themes had green buttons, as well as the ubuntu-mate-colours project. We could bring that here as an alternate option.

Somewhere in the transition from the original Ambiance theme to the Ambiant-MATE themes, Unity support became a bit lackluster. With the advent of projects like Ubuntu Unity Remix and the continued maintenance of Unity 7, it might be an idea to bring the Ambiant-MATE themes more in par with their original counterpart to provide more use outside of the MATE desktop. Most of the current errors are visible in the window decoration, but there are some other oddities (barely readable font in the Unity panel when the mixed Ambiant-MATE theme is selected, for instance.)

I believe that the bulk of these issues can be fixed by examining the difference between the gtk-widgets.css files in Ambiance, Radiance and the Ambiant-MATE themes.

Personally I don't use any GTK 4 applications, but some users might, especially in the next few years as more GTK 3 software may begin migrating to GTK 4.

For now, it might be possible to symlink gtk-3.0 with gtk-4.0 if the CSS/theming engines are similar.
