In the current implementation the argument "file" is expected to be a path or string that represents a path. However, it is a _FileMemo object form beancount. When opening the associated file, file.name must be used instead of just file (line 62 in giro.py)

This only applies to the version available on PyPi. In the current main branch it works so if #1 is fixed this issue can be closed as well.

The package available on PyPi is not up to date. It seems to be some early test version. It does nothing but implementing the identify method of an importer.
