The Digital TA project is a web-based application that empowers users to create and manage personalized digital teaching assistants. These digital assistants are designed to help users with a variety of tasks, enhancing productivity and providing support throughout their daily activities. Capable of answering questions and providing detailed information, these assistants serve as invaluable tools for managing day-to-day tasks.

The Digital TA project will incorporate several advanced features, including:

• Powered by a sophisticated Large Language Model.
• Ability to store chat history for future reference.
• Support for importing textbooks and handling various document formats such as PDF.
• Ability to change to different language models.

The planned development roadmap for the Digital TA project is as follows:

• Develop a user-friendly interface using Streamlit, coupled with a robust backend powered by FastAPI.
• Implement a modern and intuitive user interface using Astro.

To run the Digital TA project, follow these steps:

1. Clone the repository to your local machine:

2. Change into the project directory:

cd Digital-TA

3. Run Docker Compose to build and start the application:

cd src
sudo docker-compose up --build -d
