Replicate:

With card in slot, install 3552 kx driver and mole hotfix (#10 (comment))

Reboot.

Blue screen: "SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED"

workaround:

Remove the card and reboot again to get into Windows.

Hot plug the card and then right click and install kx.inf in the kx project folder in c:\program files

Works fine after that, including on reboot.

Please note this was on an old core2duo laptop with old school BIOS (no uefi, no secureboot).

Can the project here with all the information gathered and code created be used to help build emulated versions of Live! and Audigy cards for 86box and DOSbox-X?

I have a custom dsp setup, pulling from the p16v setup, doing some simple surrounder and EQ/highpass filtering and passing it out.

I'm using the p16v path because it results in a bit cleaner sound.

So i've set the 24/96 router to disable the direct p16v -> i2s output path, because otherwise i get horribad "doubled" sound, and it all works nice and cozy.

picture below, for how it looks like correct.

Now, for the issue, when i poke the PC out of sleep mode, the 23/96 router gets reset to the defaults i guess, picture below...

As you can imagine, this is highly irritating and left me scratching my head more than once as to "why the hell does my surround setup sound so horribly!", before remembering that this might be the culprit.

Yes i know, the easiest solution on my part is to use the Master Mixer device and just do the routings from the fxbus, but i really really like the way this setup sounds, and this is the only thing keeping it from being "perfect, dont need to bother with much else" setup.

When i click on 'kX Console' item in context menu of kx mixer hidden empty window appers out of screen bounds. It is shown on screenshot

If i close this window kxmixer crashes
When tried 3550 it worked ok

Please let us know when can we have an ARM64 version for Windows on ARM OS.

I am using the latest binary 3552 version on windows 8.1 x64 version. I used the Creative Audigy 5 card.
It works normally most of the times, but sometimes, it stops working with silence or a simple sound like “di…”, when I click the windows sound bar:

to let windows make some sound, the “di…” sound changes its volume or pitch, or changed to silence.
After several times of clicking, the driver recovers and everything works again.
Usually the driver stops working is because the system makes a sound or the music player changes a song.
So I guess each time a new sound is put into a channel, it has a chance to stop the driver from working.

Target OS: Windows 7x64 Professional (UAC disabled, SecureBoot Disabled)

Hello, I am trying to use the kx driver on the laptop windows 10. Unfortunately I cannot connect the PCI card. Do you have an idea how I can use my Soundblaster or the KX driver on my laptop

On 3552 version and before there was a complete silence. This is a first version that produced ANY sounds. I tried several soundfonts but result is the same.
I recorded audio directly from synth output (FXBus12 & FXBus13) soundcloud
In this particular sample simple sequence C-E-G-E-C is played with different instruments
My hardware: PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&CC_040100 (SB0160)
What else information can i provide?

I've downloaded the source from GitHub and installed Visual Studio 2015 and the WDK 10 (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/hh852365.aspx), but I was not able to compile the code. I wanted to edit the DDKROOT value in the set_env.bat, but it looks like the setenv.bat it refers to was removed from the DDK/WDK.

Please make a tutorial on how to make the compilation work on Windows 10.

The error code is DRIVER_VERIFIER_DMA_VIOLATION, The cause seems like I enabled DMA(Direct Memory Access).
And I tried to disable the DMA in BIOS, But I can't find this option.....
I tried to find information on the Chinese internet, And I can't find anything useful. This makes me having annoying a lot.

I'm trying to run a Creative SoundBlaster Live 5.1 sound card and I can't get Win7 to recognize it so I can load a driver. Help.

I can confirm that the audigy RX card (the pci express one) works with 3552.
The card is recognized as a 'generic card'.

I've tested only analog outputs 5.1 and the optical one, all of them are working.

am using the OSX driver to run a SB0350 (Audigy 2 ZS, emu10k2) on Mavericks (10.9.2) on a Sandybridge hack. The driver causes a quite annoying issue (which definitely isn't there on Win and Linux, and wasn't there at least on OSX Lion):

Whenever audio is played back, after a random but usually short amount of time (from one minute up to ten minutes, seems it can be amplified by putting load on the system) the audio stream starts crackling, sounding as if some kind of buffer would be either shifted or overrun, but the original sound is still noticeable (so it doesn't just start to make random noise). Stopping and starting the stream again (e.g. in iTunes, hit stop and start) fixes it temporarily until it starts to make buffer-shifting sounds again. Only stereo speakers are connected, Audio/MIDI setup is configured for stereo mode aswell. Aside from this, audio playback works very well and stable.

Honestly I don't know anything about all things kernel, driver and/or CoreAudio related on OSX, but I'm able (and willing!) to build the driver from the sources and can of course test things.

Again, I apologize if this is the wrong place to post issues.

Does the current version support 64-bit mojave system? I tried to load the driver, but the system will crash and restart automatically, so it cannot be used. Can you fix this driver?

Win 10. Подключаю к ресиверу, который понимает 96000, но звук приходит двухканальный при любой частоте. На ресивере показывает: 2 канала, DIGITAL и PCM. Аналог с фронта работает нормально. Устанавливал вот это: kxdrv3552-full. При запуске Миксера пишет, что совместимые устройства не найдены. В Диспетчере устройств не установилось PCI устройство ввода. Если это MIDI или джойстик, то мне это не мешает. Многоканальный нужен только для фильмов. И, может быть, старых игрушек времён Directx9.
Внимание! Если я натупил, приняв оранжевый выход за полноценный цифровой, прошу громко не смеяться) Вдруг там какая-то сложная тупняковая ситуация, когда для каждого канала реализован свой цифровой выход. У меня на ресивере он, естественно, один. Поэтому морочиться с выводом раздельных сигналов точно не буду.
ПОПРАВКА: нормально установился Миксер только из Files.fm_[30.04.2016]_mole_hotfix_kx-3552. Из kX-Audio-driver-binaries-master ни под каким соусом - вылезает ошибка при запуске Миксера.
Ещё момент: после установки драйвера и перезагрузки, вылезает та же ошибка при автоматическом запуске Миксера. Не знаю, как должно быть, но он у меня после перезагрузки запускался автоматически. В описании к установке этот момент не был отражён. Но после установки патча Миксер запускается.
Что смутило: в описании Миксера на вкладке Мастер у меня начисто отсутствует позиция №16 - AC3 на SPDIF (https://github.com/kxproject/kX-Audio-driver-Documentation/blob/master/guide-pdf/Mixer.pdf)/ В этом же окне, если снимаю галочку с Поменять местами фронт и тыл, звук вообще пропадает. Так же он пропадает, если я включаю Только цифровой звук. И это всё при том, что карта подключена к коаксиальному входу ресивера. Т.е. он не может воспроизводить аналоговый звук по определению. Но тогда не должен отключаться звук при включении только цифра и поменять фронт и бэк.
В общем, нужна помощь)
И ещё: Вы уж извините, но вся аудиотехника при включении и выключении "общается" более понятными световыми сигналами. Есть какие-то общепринятые. Есть просто вкл - горит, а выкл - не горит. Не знаю, как у других, но у меня серая точка с расстояния 2,5м до телека выглядит ярче синей. Угадайте, что думает человек, когда точка меняет цвет с цвета окружающего интерфейса на более яркий? Естественно я всё сначала повыключал))). Вот, если бы вкл был зелёным/оранжевым/белым, а выкл ваш любимый, судя по всему, синий, то тогда всё было бы понятно сразу. Да, и зачем сейчас так скромничать с размером окна? 1200 по ширине сейчас точно у всех есть. Лучше побольше да с подписями, а не под указателем мышки. Хотя, если это сделано для мультиязычности, то да. Но лучше бы подписи на инглише были, т.к. приходится ползать по всему окну и на каждый бугорок наводить мышку. Думаю, что так точно стало бы меньше тупых вопросов, меньше мегабайт хэлпов, инструкций и т.д., которые вам, думается, приходится каждый раз переписывать, дополнять и т.д. А нам их приходится искать, читать и разбираться. Это для вас там всё логично и понятно, т.к. вы программеры и разрабы. А мы обычные пользователи. А некоторые даже вообще не пользователи, а игруны да музыканты. Не уверен, что они не сходят с ума после первой же страницы)
Извиняюсь, конечно, но я над настройкой аудиокарты никогда столько не думал. Компьютер быстрее собрал)))

I get the following error when trying to use the mixer (which doesn't load natively BTW):
"kx devices not found. Reinstall the drivers. kX Error: error initializing WinMM subsystem."

While looking at code i found that calculating beta is not right because all variables should be in sqrt.

Now it is like:
