Beginning CloudKit Tutorial

This source is originally from 'Beginning CloudKit Tutorial' by Michael Katz and one can find the tutorial here. I updated the source for the tutorial to work with Xcode 6.1.

Getting Started

Software Setup

  1. Xcode 6.1 Download

    Note: This is required for compiling and deploying to the iOS Simulator or iOS device.

  2. Getting the source code

    $ git clone https://github.com/conradwt/babifud-starter

  3. Opening project

    $ open BabiFud.xcodeproj

  4. Compiling new build of application

    a) Within Xcode, stop the application if it's running.

    a) Within iPhone device or iOS simulator, delete the application.

    b) Within Xcode, pull the application sources.

    c) Within Xcode, compile and run the application.

iOS 8 Frameworks

  • UIKit
  • CloudKit

Membership requirements

Registered iOS or Mac Developer Program

Note:  This is required when using CloudKit.
