bmx-055's Issues

Magnetometer temperature compensation

I'm required to use the BMA-055 in a project as a compass module. I tried to figure out how the temperature compensation of its magnetometer works, but couldn’t find any official documentation about it.
In your code line 802 starting with // calculate temperature compensated 16-bit magnetic fields your performing it somehow. Can you give me a hint, were I can get further information.
Do you know if any of the data stored in the registers will change during time?

Regards,
Matthias

Question about degraded result when By is up

The filter works now in all cases, except when the sensor is turned so that By looks up and Bz is on the horizontal plane.
The graph shows this sequence:

  1. With Bz looking up, I rotate the sensor 90 degrees back and forth around Bz axis. It works well.
  2. I turn the sensor so By points up and Bz is on the horizontal plane.
  3. With the sensor as in (2) and keeping Bz in the horizontal plane, I rotate the sensor 90 degrees back and forth around By. The filter's result is degraded.

Error in the sensitivity

Hi,
I used the BMX055 and set the Gscale to 2000 dps. But when I integrate the rate at 50 Hz I get always a doubled error with the sensitivity you stated. From my opinion somehow the sensitivity is only the half.
Did you check the sensitivity?
