add a ban list such that when a block id is listed, that when encountered in the world the block is immediately replaced with air.

Stopping block placements will consume that block instead of just preventing it from being used. Anyway around this issue on 1.12? I'm trying to prevent an xp exploit on another mod so by making a block non-placeable while make it harvestable. This also conflicts with CarryOn mod where you can pick up and drop blocks which instantly deletes the block when placed.

thought it was because I was in the client, so i exited the client

made the changes fired up the client and nothing was being blocked

exited the client and looked at the config which resorted back to default

you've got to fix that, if the mod appears this broken players won't even bother to report it.

With the mod Avaritia and it's infinity pickaxe I can brake the bedrock using this configuration :

And the default configuration "minecraft:bedrock|0" is not working too.
