ColoRandom - Group

Abstract:

We built a website that generates a palette of 5 random colors with hexcodes which the user can lock, save, or delete. The app helps the user figure out which colors they'd like to use for a project.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Fork repo on GitHub
  2. Clone SSH code
  3. Open terminal and git clone SSH link
  4. Run command: open index.html to run the code

Context:

This application took us ~25 hours to make. We are in week 4 of mod 1.

Contributors:

Learning Goals:

  1. Gain experience with HTML and CSS
  2. Practice refactoring and writing clean DRY code
  3. Keep data model and DOM reflective of each other
  4. Working as a group and practice communication and scheduling

Wins + Challenges:

WINS:

  1. It runs!
  2. Getting the DOM and data model to reflect each other
  3. Gaining more understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  4. Having great teammate dynamic

CHALLENGES:

  1. Class to class iteration
  2. Event delegation
  3. Flexbox and CSS
