Right now, if a file changed in multiple commits within one PR, a separate line will be output for each. Not sure if I really love this - it gets cluttered quick on big repos (such as kmkfw/kmk_firmware)

It should be able to be pinned to a venv's Python interpreter, the system Python interpreter, or whatever (determined at build/install time).

The current hackaround bases the shebang line off of the Makefile's DESTDIR, which is far from bullet-proof, but allowed dodging any venvs that the end user may have enabled that wouldn't necessarily have the dependencies git-staredown needs. It's cool and all, but should be fixed for larger-scale rollout.

Nice-to-have, absolutely not required, but I could see a use for JSON output (the coreutils shell screwery required to parse the current output, even in its one-liner form, is really not fun)

Things that could be written to disk:

commit <=> PR mappings
All PR metadata for closed/merged PRs
... probably others, but they won't be relevant until verbosity levels are implemented anyway

Consistency with how the rest of the git ecosystem is configured is preferred to one-off flags. Remove this temporary hack.
