PSO2NGS Mod Manager
I added the mods in through the mod manager, but they're not showing up in the game. The kinds of mods that I added were clothing ones, and I can't find them when creating my character. I have tried relaunching the game and reinstalling the mods, but neither have worked.
This was a problem with the 2.3.4 version too only that function only broken on 2.3.4. and didn't fix when updated. Not sure what to do x.x
I tried to process a full page of archives, it hung for about 10mins so i used alt f4 to close and restart and try one at a time but it wouldn't open anymore
So im using the experimental item swap thing and am trying to replace Plain Blindfold: Black with 2B Goggles but i get this https://i.imgur.com/F4fzW46.jpeg
Am on latest version.
So I've been using the mods in the mod manager, before I had no issues removing the mods, but now as of recently my mod manager won't delete the mods, restarted my game to see if they work.
As I pop into game Mods are still present in both emotes (Textures seem fine so far) with some emotes still active yet mod manager shows they are not active/installed.
Dunno how to fix this but may have to reset the entire mod manager if necessary.
Hi I've tried opening the loader this morning and I'm getting this error. Tried rolling back windows update as of two days ago (probably wasn't the issue) and I'm guessing it's related to a recent steam update
Error when loading data. Please restart app
FormatException: Unexpected character (at character 1)

probably want to look into this
(may cause 816?
When I rename a mod folder I need to close and reopen the GUI for it to be reflected in the GUI.
Add a refresh button?
I'm updating from v1.5.2? so, idk if this is an issue per se. Starting up the new manager gives the "preparing items this may take some time" prompt. It's been well over an hour, and there's no signs of it changing any thing. I've not messed with any particular settings outside of the initial set up from an older version.
When two mods conflict (i.e., have ICE files with the same name), the mod manager malfunctions.
Example: Suppose mod B is already installed, and a new mod A that the user wishes to install conflicts with mod B --- have the same ICE file names between the two mods.
If mod A gets installed, then
Expected Result: mod A is installed, but mod B gets automatically uninstalled because it shares the same ICE files.
Actual Result: the mod manager thinks both mod A and mod B are installed at the same time, when really only mod A is installed.
So now, the mod manager thinks both mod A and mod B are installed. This results in another issue:
If mod A gets uninstalled, then the mod manager still thinks that mod B is still installed.
However, if the user attempts to uninstall mod B as well, then the mod manager encounters an error, saying that the backup files for the ICE files overwritten by mod B are missing.
The only way to uninstall mod B is by deleting mod B from the Mods folder and then re-adding mod B to the mod manager.
I'm opening up the app, again, to fix a mod I had in-game, but it presents me with the 'preparing items' spiel again. Like before, it'll hang there until I do the moving mod folder, which, does work, but it seems I have to do it every time i re-open the app. I've kept the new folders with their same names and moved the files accordingly, but, having to move +12gb every time is a little tedious
trying to use emote mods, kinda annoying relaunching the game every time i want to use a different mod of the group gymnastics emote
when i tried to use a folder a friend had of their mod path it would run all the mods but then gives me a "null check operator used on a null value" yet when i have it create a blank path it opens up normally
It does literally nothing when i click it >.< on latest version...already tried deleting the folder in appdata and reinstalling
On the latest update it only shows a white screen. Windows 10.
Sorry for running into something else uwu
I created a file called storage, extracted a mod's win32 and win32reboot folders into it, dragged the folders into the left hand side of the add mods window, I click process and it does. It's perfectly capable of sniffing out every single mod included within the pack but when i click "add all" i get the above proplem.
It keeps telling me to rename the root folder but doesn't specify to what. The folder is located on the root of a different drive.
Ive downloaded the Checksum via the app, deleted the MM folder and re-extracted it, deleted the appdata folder and nothing.
Thanks for this amazing tool! I found an issue when importing a folder containing mods for multiple variants of the same basewear.
When adding a folder of mods where files are shared between two items, the mod manager creates separate mods for each item, but the shared files are only imported to one of them.
For example, Sola Beach [Ba] and Sola Beach/B [Ba] have different model files but the same linked inner files:
pso2_mod_manager/ItemRefSheets/Player/NGS/FemaleNGSBasewear.csv
Lines 808 to 809 in cd5a7c1
If you add a folder that contains
Then it will create two mods:
but 7be7471a88ff581d4c3c43f1119145d3 and 6fcffade94b53199b629b8004e409442 should be part of both mods.
Would it be likely that some sort of dropdown selector to choose between global and japanese servers is added? In order to keep track of each one's mods separately.
Re-selecting the directory works, but I believe we have to revert mods every time we do this. Thank you!
Hi there and sorry to bug you.
Been having issues with "Error loading data. Please restart app" when i start the mod manager. Tried plenty of troubleshoot doesn't work. However it can work normally again if i create a new "PSO2 Mod Manager" file directory but the problem is it won't load the data or files that has been modded .
Thanks for this tool! I ran into a pretty annoying problem though. Because it stores all of the mods inside the PSO2 folder, if you run a Steam file check and it decides there are problems, it just wipes out the whole folder and starts over, mods included. It would be nice if mods could be stored elsewhere.
Apologies for this new issue, just something I need help for a friend who doesn't have an account to share this issue I also experience sometimes
My friend prefers to use the Mod Sets to place all his mods into a Set to just install n remove freely, but the problem is half the time the Mod Sets don't work and either don't add them properly or don't list them and add them at all.
Could you fix this bug when you can? Appreciate it for my friend to be able to use it better. He dislikes having to install them individually apparently. ^^'
