issues's Introduction

Issues

The program that is covered by chapter 13 of the text "Programming Elixir" This shall serve as a log of what I do during the course of the project, in case I need to go to someone for help

Created new directory in Git Shell Committed new directory and files Created new folder issues/ in lib/ Created and committed cli.ex Created and committed cli_test.exs Ran command "issues % mix test" - failed Ran command "mix test" - successful test, but only one test was run Git apparently refuses to accept "issues" as part of the command, it will be omitted from now on Realized the cli_test.exs file had been saved in lib/issues/ Moved cli_test.exs to test Ran "mix test" again - successful test, 4 tests run, 1 test failed as done in the book Part 1 Complete

Input command "mix run -e 'Issues.CLI. run(["-h"])' - Compile error given Test run again - success Used mix run with -h again - Compile error given again: undefined function h/0 Used mix run with --help - Syntax error given: syntax error before -- Attempted to instigate the Undefined Function Error given at the end of the section - Compile error given once again Copy-pasted code verbatim from book's example to see if I had mistyped anything Code compiled and tested fine mix run -e 'Issues.CLI.run(["-h"])' results in same Compile error I've been getting mix run with empty argument prints desired message mix run -e requires " for arguments Added httpoison dependency Installed dependencies Part 2 Complete

Created github_issues.ex Updated mix.exs Attempted to run Issues.GithubIssues.fetch("elixir-lang", "elixir") - received error that "the term 'issues.GithubIssues.fetch' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program" Ran above command within mix run -e and received response similar, but not exact to what is said in the text Added jsx Modified github_issues, cli, mix, and config Modified cli.ex and cli_test.exs Ran mix test and received 1 failure not expected in text Continuing, hoping it won't cause too much trouble right now Part 3 Complete

Begin following instructions for part 4 All seems to work
