killrvideo.github.io's Issues

Provide code references for new 5.1 features

Get a list of new 5.1 changes and use that to create more lists of actual updates.

Provide references for each of our currently supported languages (Node.js, java, C#)

Most likely will generate new cards for each item

Fix gRPC references

We're pretty inconsistent about casing across docs when referencing gRPC. We should fix that.

Document the repository structure

We have a lot of repos in the organization, some of which have dependencies on each other. Let's document what is what in here and how they depend on each other. Bonus points for a pretty chart showing dependencies.

Advanced Docs: Pub-Sub Messaging

Add guidelines for implementing pub-sub messaging (i.e. events for service collaboration) to implementer's cheatsheet. All events defined in Protobufs should be published, but should include which events need to be handled by the implementations to provide the required functionality (i.e. update search index when a video is added, etc.)

Make sure menu on mobile works

We've got a collapsible UI that shows an icon for a menu on mobile, but it's just CSS and doesn't actually work right now. Let's make it work.

Extend KillrVideo into graph - 360

We don't currently showcase any graph capabilities with KillrVideo.

Hook up the API for real-time updates
Create some meaningful 360 like model to demonstrate capabilities outside of base analytics

Continue BDD/Cucumber train for java

Continue the work that DuyHai started and ensure we have ongoing support.

Admittedly, this one is a little vague and most likely needs to be broken down into smaller pieces.

Pin Doc Indexes when Scrolling

Would be nice if they doc indexes followed you as you scrolled instead of staying at the top of the documentation pages.

Getting Started: Java w/ Achilles

Add Getting Started instructions for Java w/ Achilles implementation. Should also update the general Getting Started docs to link to those directions.

Extend KillrVideo to allow for external cluster connectivity

KillrVideo currently works completely within Docker including its own DSE container. Reconfigure KillrVideo to connect to an external cluster(s) and make any changes easy to switch between.

Note: Gilardi is mostly done with this and plans to blog on completion

Getting Started: Docker Notes

Now that Docker for Windows/Mac is out of beta, update the general Getting Started documentation to reflect any new suggestions for running locally.
