simplevm's Issues

Not able to boot from disk

I tried installing Ubuntu server on a disk image created using qemu-image which it did successfully using the virtualisation framework but I’m not able to boot into the disk which I have it attached to the vm as a storage device, and also have tried passsing it instead of the bootable image url but no luck, most of the times I find myself stuck with initramfs or the live boot of the kernel, any idea on a work around?

Project won't build in Xcode even after forking your repo

The project SimpleVm will not build in Xcode 12 as it can not download the files needed from this GitHub repo. Here is my error Log from Xcode 12.

expose Ethernet interface, Mac Mini M1

Thanks for providing this! SimpleVM with Ubuntu 20.04 works well, and it exposes the Wifi interface, and Ubuntu inside SimpleVM can access internet just fine.

Is there any way to expose some local Ethernet interface? The Mac Mini is connected over Ethernet to some machine (Mac mini Ethernet address 192.168.123.100, remote machine is 192.168.123.10, and I'd like to connect the SimpleVM Ubuntu to that local machine.

Crash on launch with RBSRequestErrorDomain error 5

I couldn't get the app to launch on Big Sur 11.0 Beta (20A5323l) using Xcode 12.0 beta 3 (12A8169g) due to a code signing issue causing it to report RBSRequestErrorDomain error 5. I found that renaming the entitlement com.apple.vm.networking to com.apple.security.virtualization made it work.

Failed to clone 'SwiftSH.binaries'

On Xcode 12.2, I am getting this error when building:

Import SwiftTerm "No such module SwiftTerm" when run in Xcode.

Hello- I'm just learning about how all this works and I'm pretty basic with computer knowledge, but I was attempting to run the SimpleVM in Xcode and I kept getting the "No such module SwiftTerm" error in SimpleVM/ConsoleViewController.swift. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using M1 MacBook Air 8gb 256gb.
