Theparker: A shared parking app for extra income!

Theparker is first open source - Android shared parking app!

Theparker is the app build for Android using Java and an iOS version is Already open source.

It uses Firebase Realtime Database and Firebase Storage.(Currently it uses static payment, nom payment gateway is added)

There is an Admin App to create packages for Parking

How To Start?

Set up your firebase account

Enable email and mobile login

Add google-services.json file for both theParker and theParker Admin app\

Add a admin email and password manually in firebase (to use admin app)

Note: You will need to add api key in manifest file for google map(google "how to enable google map api")

  • Upload Your parking Spot
  • Search Parking Space.
  • Login Using Email.
  • Check previous transactions.
  • Add my Cars.
  • Book Parking.
  • Upload parking screenshots.
  • Get direction to the parking spot.
  • Call the spot owner.
  • See previous parking Spot Added.
  • Check previous Booking.
  • Local Notification.
  • Profile.

Map Activity won't open

Hey dev,
I have everything upto date and androidx is implemented. The build compiles successfully but,

  1. I am not able to get map activity or the location pins to point somewhere, it's like the map activity is there but won't show or find location (location is on and permissions are granted.)
    Do i have to add some places through Admin App?

  2. In the Admin App, the finish button in the E-wallet does not function and i cannot proceed further. Can you please help.
