Throughout the development of this project, I encountered various challenges and gained valuable insights.
-
Notifying User Registrations :
One notable challenge was implementing a notification system for user registrations. Overcoming this hurdle required a deep dive into the intricacies of notification creation.
-
Overlapping Pages with Z-Index :
Understanding how to effectively overlap pages using z-index emerged as another pivotal aspect of the project. This presented a unique set of challenges that I successfully addressed.
-
Structural Shift: Grid vs. Flex :
An important lesson learned was the significance of structuring pages using a grid system rather than relying solely on flex. This shift in approach contributed to a more organized and responsive design.
-
Font Awesome Integration :
An accomplishment during this project was the successful integration of Font Awesome into the Angular application. This involved implementing icons and ensuring their functionality aligns with user interactions.
-
Mobile User Interaction :
For mobile users, active events were added to buttons and fonts, enhancing user perception. This ensured a visual indication when buttons or icons were clicked on smaller screens.
-
Responsive Design with Media Queries :
The implementation of media queries for specific screen sizes was crucial. A minimum width of 481px triggered a shift in structure to utilize grid, with buttons and fonts adapting their functions and incorporating hover events.
-
Notification System :
The notification system, positioned on top of pages using z-index, was fine-tuned to appear for 5 seconds before gracefully disappearing. This added a dynamic and informative element to the user experience.
-
Technology Stack :
The project utilized AngularJS for its directives, enabling seamless data binding to HTML elements, as well as leveraging dependency injection and routing. TypeScript played a key role, providing optional static typing and introducing the concept of classes for enhanced code organization.
