I'm running into multiple errors with this is there anyway you can convert it over to gradle and maybe make a wiki on how to change things within the code?

wed like your app to be in f-droid. Here is the submission. However in order to to do you'd have to change several things. First of all *.jar files need to be replaced with source code, or OpenSource code from maven.

You should instead use a different license. The GPL version 3 is a fine choice.
