you need to modify the Makefile to this.
I tested with opencv2.4. I compiled the code without any error.

CV=-I/usr/include/opencv
CV2_old=-lml -lcvaux -lhighgui -lcv -lcxcore
CV2=-lopencv_imgproc -lopencv_highgui -lopencv_core -lopencv_ml
all:
$(CC) main.cpp HOG.cpp HOGFeaturesOfBlock.cpp $(CV) $(CV2) -o featureExtractorfrom activity_detection.
