Hi,

I noticed that this repo does not contain a license file, nor do the copyright notices on the source files contain any license information, with the exception of the icon license. As the project contains many forks on GitHub, I assume usage of this code is ok, however the default is technically all rights reserved. If you could add a LICENSE file, this would clear up any ambiguities as to usage restrictions.

Perhaps add a BSD-3 clause or MIT License if there are no restrictions or an explicit public domain dedication, although that is not valid in some countries.

I have an appleTV 4k und just updated to tvos 13.
I can't find any app to browse the web in tvos 13.
On earlier versions there was Safari, which worked fine.
I neither have a Mac or Xcode to install tvosBrowser.
Do you have any tips for me ?

Hi there is anyone else running into the issue that the app suddenly won’t open? I select it from the main screen and it just returns you to home screen as if the app crashed upon startup.

Hello, when attempting to use this browser to accept the terms when logging into hotel WiFi, when the page attempts to load after checking login, the app loads a dialog box which states:

“Could Not Load Webpage”

“The Certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be ....”

Is there anyway to add an option to load anyway so that I can connect my Apple TV to hotel WiFi? Thanks!

I'm trying to activate full screen function of any player and i'm getting "Your browser doesn't support full screen".
for example: load YouTube site and play movie the full screen is disable.

Any idea how to solve this?

Hi, did every step there needed to be and works until I want to merge it to my new Apple TV 4K
Here Xcode give:

1. error: There are no accounts registered with Xcode. Add your developer account to Xcode (in target 'Browser')
   This while I gave my developer account into preferences of Xcode
2. error: No profiles for 'com.jva.tvbrowser' were found: Xcode couldn't find any tvOS App Development provisioning profiles matching 'com.jva.tvbrowser'. (in target 'Browser')
   Don't know what that is.
   Can you help me on this?

Full screen mode is not supported.

We have some dashboard for business intelligence that we would like to display on our apple TV's however these dashboards require us to use a 4K display to see all the content. Is it possible to make this app render the website in 4k resolution so that all the content can be displayed?

I would love to contribute this change but am not even certain where to start. If you can point me in the right direction I would love to help implement it.

I am getting a successful build report, but then this message, "This Apple TV (4th generation) is running tvOS 12.3 (16M153), which may not be supported by this version of Xcode." in a dialogue with the black and white pinwheel next to the single button "Cancel Running". Any others of you, too? Thanks!

Hello. While using this app, I have a website open that automatically refreshes. While listening to music, I’ve noticed that after a few minutes, (1-2), the music app takes priority, displaying the album art, title and artist. This prevents me from leaving the webpage open while listening to music. Anyone have a fix for this? Thanks!

It's possible to install on iOS 13 beta by using Xcode beta?

I need help with the build of tvOSBrowser on my Apple TV (tvOS 14.3, A1625 64GB) with XCode (Version 12.0.1 (12A7300)) via wifi. When I try to build to Apple TV (unplugged via wifi) fails with these error messages:

No account for team "H7W77QXGX2". Add a new account in the Accounts preference pane or verify that your accounts have valid credentials.

No profiles for 'com.dreampiggy.tvbrowser' were found: Xcode couldn't find any tvOS App Development provisioning profiles matching 'com.dreampiggy.tvbrowser'.

What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me, please?

I stumbled upon this repository when researching a browser app for an Apple TV 3rd generation. Will this tvOSBrowser also work on older models? And if so, how to hook it up to my Mac...?

Instead of sending directly to the Apple TV, can I also export it as an ipa file?

So, I've edited my Availability.h file to add the NOTQUITE thing to the end of each of the TVOS_UNAVAILABLE and TVOS_PROHBITED lines, but I saw a mention in another issue that a line in UIDataDetectors.h, namely } API_UNAVAILABLE(tvos); needed to be edited, but that line isn't even in my UIDataDetectors.h file. After adding the NOTQUITE part to my availability.h, I'm getting 53 errors, shown in the attached screenshot. Keep in mind, I'm REALLY unfamiliar with coding and Xcode and all this, so the simpler you can explain things, the better. I believe I'm on TVOS 12, if that helps. I've also seen that the availability.h file doesn't need to be edited, but I don't know if there's anything that needs to be done in its place, so I did it as a sort of better safe than sorry thing. (Yeah, this message is a mess, just ask for any details you may be confused with)

I am seeing an issue on many sites that have the pop-up ad then page redirect. It ends up taking me to an about:blank page. You can see an example when trying to play video on a site like Bilasport.
Because this uses the WebView, is it not possible to add tab browsing, or is it the complexity of it?
Also wondering if anyone has found a workaround or solution for this issue.

tvOS Browser currently requires MENU key be held down instead of just pressed once repeatedly to return to HOME screen. tvOS guidelines require that repeated MENU key presses eventually returns to HOME screen

How can I modify project to make it follow the guidelines?

The app crashes on an Apple TV 4K (1st gen) since the update to tvOS 16 as soon as you want to play a video. Before that it worked without problems.

Here is what I'm trying to do. Play a Keynote that loop on the TV without using Airplay. I wanted to use the online Keynote version included in iCloud.com.

I can load iCloud.com page but when I click on the Apple ID box to enter the Apple ID, nothing happens. Actually the entire window seems unresponsive. Any idea why ?

One annoying issue is that I cannot fast forward or rewind videos neither in the tvOS app itself nor through the remote app on iOS:

Funnily enough, sometimes the circle allowing me to move the position sometime does appear but I don’t know how it appears but sadly it disappears when the app is terminated and nobody knows when or how it’s going to come back again.

Also, when a video is paused, I can only resume it as clicking on the bar doesn’t do anything!

Tried two different websites to login with my credentials. It’s a paid service.

The username and password are correct and verified.

Both websites give me error bad username and password.

Both websites are working on other devices like iPhone and iPad

Both websites are live tv streaming sites.

Any pointers?
