About the project

This project uses Next.js as a framework for SSR and routing, Chakra UI for styling and interface components, Firebase for authentication alongside Firestore + Storage for data storage, and Recoil as a state manager.

My first fullstack project utilizing technologies such as Next.js, Chakra UI, Firebase and Recoil, and it is far from perfect, however it was possible to learn valuable lessons specially on how to use Cloud Firestore as a database and its security rules.

Possible improvements:

  1. Delete communities.
  2. Optimize performance and accessibility.
  3. Add functionality to a few decorative interface elements.

Add ability to delete communities

The community's creator should be able to delete the community and it should delete all the posts and images from the firestore/storage.
