Each page loads too slowly when they are first navigated to. Though the images are optimized, the background image takes around 1s to appear.

I have tested the site using Google's PageSpeed Insights; the score was 97 / 100. All test audit categories were checked green except the input latency value which was 300ms (should have been around 50ms).

Things to know:

• Site is bundled with multiple pages
• background image style has been inlined, but issue still exists
• background jpeg image is set to progressive (by image-webpack-loader)
