Title - Budget Datasets (2016-17 - 2021-22)

Description - Select a data set from the list below to view the trends in budget estimates, revised estimates, actual expenditure and fund utilisation for a scheme, scheme category or a ministry/department. Data points for all indicators are available from 2016-17 onward.

• Remove year 2017-18 from x-axis

On listing page for Ministries, Categories and Scheme the info icon displays hard coded content on hover. Replace it with actual content.

Since all datasets are for Union Budget only we don't need "union budget" in name.

Remove "Union Budget" (any case) from dataset name on listing page, if the name starts with it and dataset is part of group "Union Budget" on JH

This is with reference to the embed feature for the explorer section. Currently, the user can only export the chart as a PNG file. We would also like the user to be able to embed the dynamic chart on a different website.

We haven't mentioned the data curation process anywhere on the portal. Though the data guidebook is uploaded with all datasets on the Justice Hub and is part of the data package, we should still mention it somewhere on the explorer page as well.

We dont have any way to download charts

@apoorv74 Please check all the dummy things on platform(especially home page and non working nav tabs) and provide replacement for them. We will do the necessary changes post we have them all.

Chart Download

• Add download button for all charts. This should download the active chart as a PNG file.
• The downloaded chart should have a chart title. The format for assigning chart title is:

Title - Indicator Name - Budget Type (Total/Revenue/Capital) (in Bold)
Subtitle - Name of the scheme

Axes Labels

• For all indicators, Y axis label should be Value (Unit). For e.g. For Budget Estimates the label will be Value (In Crores) and for Fund Utilisation the label will be Value (in Percent)

Y Axis Units
- [ ] For all indicators where units are percent (Indicators 4,5 and 6 listed above) - the Y axis should be from 0 till 100

Note: For some schemes the percentage is going above 100, so let's not change this for now.

Data points value

• For bar graph the data points should be visible above the bars with units
• For both bar graph and the line graph, on hover the data point should follow this format

As per the design of the listing page, the search bar should be visible always. It should be fixed to the top and not hide on scroll. Needs to be fixed.

• Fix slug and display titles in data files

• Remove 2016-17 and 2017-18 from the x-axis
• Data point is missing for 2022

• "Type of scheme" field should be hidden if no value .

- [ ] The Search Bar was supposed to have to have a drop-down. It currently does not.
Note: The search filters out the page content, therefore, the dropdown is not required here.

• The Ministry or Department Indicators are not clickable right now which would categorize the schemes and/or categories under the relevant minsitries and departments
• The titles for these need to be reworked as they are currently too long and exhausting to read [I will work on it with someone when you are ready for that - might have to wait post launch but to be done next week]
• Information icons everywhere need to provide information on hover [I know that is something that is being re-worked]

Graphs

• Needs a title
• y axis just says Value at the moment - needs to say something like amount in rupees in crores.
• The exact amount needs to be mentioned for each year above the bars/line graphs.
• Data Source - needs to say it is from the Union Budget - you can mention OBI as a place where it was accessed
• Actual % as a percentage of ministry [indicator] is still unclear. More importantly - it isn't obvious which ministry it is a percentage of. While the tag for L&J at the top might be somewhat of a hint and then the description of the schemes, for a new user they wouldn't know what to look for.
• Fund utilizaion also is not too clear
• The scales are off as I can't immediately make sense of the graph
• Need download icon for 'Download visualisation'
• change 'Budget for Justice' to 'Budgets for Justice' everywhere.
• Similarly, it needs to be 'Explore Budgets'

The sitemap is helpful to index pages on popular search engines
