I think the convention is Julia is to avoid underscore unless the variable name really becomes unreadable. For example get...:

get                    getaddrinfo             getkey
get!                   getfield                getpid
get_bigfloat_precision gethostname             getsockname
get_rounding           getindex
get_zero_subnormals    getipaddr

As it stands you would recommend to use _ for most of them.

The content of abbreviated tables seems to render as a paragraph of flow text with |s in them on Github, eg here.

Looking at the source, I see

initialize | init
evaluate  | eval
calculate | calc
 | 
positive | pos

are the standalone | separators? Perhaps Github changed their syntax?

Can you explain why For package, module or type names with an initial acronym write the acronym in uppercase then use camelcase.
