eduford-university's Issues

Missing README File and Documentation!

Please Assign it to me Under GSSoC'24 Contributions

The README file on GitHub is of paramount importance as it acts as the primary guide for users and collaborators engaging with a repository. Serving as an introduction to the project, it outlines its purpose, installation instructions, usage examples, and essential documentation, providing a comprehensive understanding of the project's scope and functionality. Additionally, it establishes guidelines for contribution, fosters community engagement, and ensures legal compliance through licensing information. Moreover, it offers transparency regarding the project's status and future plans, facilitating effective collaboration and adoption within the GitHub community and beyond.

Adding more information on Home Page

The home page lacks detailed information about our University placements, research, and many more. This can make it difficult for new visitors to understand what we offer and why they should choose us.

Visit us to know more in not working in home page

Visit us to know more is not connected to any page, while clicking on it no effect is there. it can be resolved by connecting it to the Contact Us page.
So please assign this issue to me under GSSOC'24

Fixing the Courses Page

The courses page is having some serious UI issues regarding color and also the card animation. I would like to contribute to this project by fixing the card design and creating a card flips animation whenever anyone hovers on it. For mobile phone, we can keep it as a zoom and shrink animation as it is of right now. I would request the mentors to assign this issue to me.

Social Media Icons in About Us Section Not Linked to Handles

Description: The social media icons in the "About Us" section of our app/webpage are currently not linked to their respective social media handles. This prevents users from easily accessing our social media profiles.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Navigate to the "About Us" section.
  2. Locate the social media icons (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
  3. Click on any of the icons.

Expected Behavior:
Clicking on a social media icon should redirect users to the respective social media handle.

Actual Behavior:
Clicking on any social media icon does not redirect users.

Additional Information:
This issue impacts user engagement and brand visibility. It's crucial to ensure that users can easily connect with us on social media platforms. We need to update the links associated with each icon to direct users to the correct social media handles.

Issues in EXPLORE NOW and device responsive

You have an empty href attribute in your anchor () tag for the "EXPLORE NOW" button in about.html. We can provide a valid URL or remove the href attribute if the link is not intended to go anywhere.

Consider how your blog content will adapt to different screen sizes. Ensure that the layout remains readable and visually appealing on both desktop and mobile devices in blog.html
also in blog.html for categories we can make a drop down system to select whichever category the user wants and hide the rest.
please assign these tasks to me under GSSoc'24 @juhinagpure

Adding a README file

I've noticed our project lacks a README.md file, crucial for sharing essential project details and fostering collaboration. As a GSSoC 2024 participant, I'm keen on contributing meaningfully. Can you assign me this task? I'm dedicated to crafting a thorough README for the project's benefit. Thanks for considering. Eagerly awaiting your response.

Add "Award, Features, and Company Tie-ups" Section to Homepage

Issue Description:

Overview:
Currently, the homepage lacks a section highlighting awards, features, and company tie-ups, which are crucial for showcasing our achievements and partnerships. Adding this section will enhance the homepage's credibility and provide visitors with valuable information about our recognition and collaborations.

Proposed Solution:
We propose adding a new section titled "Award, Features, and Company Tie-ups" to the homepage. This section should prominently display any awards received, notable features of our products/services, and partnerships with other companies.

UI Enhancement

Hey Juhinagpre,

I've been thinking about ways to jazz up our website:

UI Makeover: I'd like to give the user interface a sleeker, more polished look, and ensure it's smooth on any device and work on website responsiveness.
Course Section Optimization: Speeding up the course section and making it's Ui more attractive and optimized to visitors.

I have attached a basic Image so that you can have a preview just wana make it more attractive and optimized

Adding respective icons to the navbar

  • The current navbar lacks icons, which impacts its visual appeal and usability. Users might find it less engaging and intuitive to navigate through the website without visual cues provided by icons
  • I propose adding respective icons to the navbar to enhance its visual appeal and improve user navigation experience. These icons will align with the theme of the website and provide users with clear visual cues for each navigation option

Adding responsive design to Testimonials section

WhatsApp Image 2024-05-11 at 12 56 46 AM

Hi @juhinagpure , I have identified opportunity to enhance the website by making the "WHAT OUR STUDENT SAYS" section mobile responsive and also adding an hamburger in navbar section for screen size less than 770px.
Expected behaviour:
The website should look good in all types of devices regardless their screen sizes so that it improves user experience.

Kindly assign me this task I want to fix this issue and contribute to this project under GSSoC'24.

Issue: Navbar Misalignment and Responsive Menu Dysfunction

Issue Description
The navigation bar (navbar) is misaligned on certain screen sizes, and the menu is not opening in its responsive form as intended.

Expected Behaviour :-
The navigation bar should be consistently aligned in vertically centre ensuring a visually pleasing and user-friendly experience.
The menu should open and display its contents in a responsive manner when triggered, allowing users to navigate the site seamlessly on all devices.

Actual Behaviour :-
The navigation bar appears misaligned on vertically centre, causing visual inconsistency and potentially affecting user experience.
The responsive menu fails to open or display its contents properly, hindering users' ability to navigate the site on smaller devices.

Can you please assign me this issue I have worked on frontend projects earlier.
