BEMT Based Wind Turbine Design Coursework for Year 18/19.

By using helicopter rotor theory, this work finds a technical optimum design for the blades of a 3 bladed wind turbine.

Moment checking checks over the whole range before failing locally.

Needs to check locally and fail locally only.

quickInterp ignore realistic y limits

quickInterp needs to have a minimum y value to avoid negative AEPs been given when the turbine would actually be off.

Bending moments not yet implemented giving impossible results.

Add bending moment calcs to hub.

Variable overhead with globaldata

globaldata structure is often passed to a function alongside arguments with the info already contained in globaldata.
This should be streamlined to use the globaldata struct already being passed in.

Unnecessary use of first dimension indexing in one dimensional variable pre-allocated as zeros.

As title. Move from ab(1,i) to ab(i).

Tip strike not yet implemented.

Follow process for ensuring the tip does not strike the base of 3m clearance.

Global variables still used to define non-global data pass through

Artefact of old code, global variables still defined at the top of main despite being put into a data structure to pass info around.

Needs definitions moving straight into structure definition.
