A recent poll by NortonLifeLock of gamers shows that 47% of them have experienced a cyberattack to break into their gaming account or device. Three in four of those affected endured financial losses. The survey conducted by the Harris Poll shows that, on average, gamers lose $744.The inclination to cut corners proves damaging for some as scammers are aware of gamers’ desire to win at all costs. Threat actors trick gamers into clicking phishing links or downloading malware under the promise of a secret cheat code. If the scam works, gamers might lose their gaming profile, digital assets, or personal information.

To solve this issue our team brainstormed and came up with the idea of gamification with the help of blockchain. We have built a blockchain-based pokemon game where users can connect their wallets and enter the showdown. They can also earn some NFTs after winning the game and then they can also sell their NFTs.

Our web app GameCrypt is built with the following features:

We are deploying our smart contracts on Hedera's testnet. Hedera is a decentralised public network that use the Hashgraph consensus algorithm to get around the blockchain's conventional restrictions and usher in the era of quick, equitable, and secure applications.

We are using Azure Blockchain Service to operate blockchain networks. Azure Blockchain Service is a fully managed service that makes it easy to create and manage blockchain networks. It provides a single, consistent management experience for both consortium and public blockchain networks. We are using Azure Blockchain Service as it is built on the open source Hyperledger Fabric and Ethereum protocols which are very useful for our project.
