Was there any particular reason for not capturing exceptions?

This module uses an unmaintained version.

There are updates available to several dev dependancies. Update & validate.

There is a newer raven-node release available. Read release notes, update and test. Then publish updated library to npm.

I think you can upgrade the raven dependency, as now it is in 1.x.x.
