The installer should symlink all of the scripts in the local copy of this binscripts repo to the directory ~/bin. This ~/bin directory should be created if it doesn't exit, and it should be added to the $PATH in .profile or whichever file makes the most sense.

This installer should also have some configuration options to:

1. Ignore files located in the local binscripts repo
2. Create a symlink with a different name than the file in the local binscripts repo, i.e. create symlink ~/bin/ej which points to some/path/binscripts/ej.applescript.

These two requirements can be met using something like a python dictionary. Keys are the filename of the files in the binscripts repo, values are what the symlink should be named:

• An empty string indicates use the filename as found in the binscripts repo for the symlink name.
• None indicates to create no symlink.
• Any other string is what the symlink pointing to that file should be named.

Note that currently ~/bin/subl points to /Applications/Sublime Text 2.app/Contents/SharedSupport/bin/subl

I have particular desktops on which I prefer each of my applications. I would like for the launch_everything.applescript program to put my applications on my preferred desktops.
