Braces not covered in apex coverage

Apex notoriously does not show braces as covered (lines 16, 19 and 20).
We use code-climate's feature to check differential coverage is atleast 75%.
This causes problem when we add a new method of probably 3 lines, and since 1 line is a brace, differential coverage is only 66% (2 out of 3 lines covered).

any workarounds to this issue (i've turned off differential coverage check for now)
